As a marketing manager for my company I am constantly searching for good content to post on blog and share with my network, however, it's really time consuming and I was looking for a way to somehow automate it. Currently using Google Alerts and ContentGems, but not completely happy with either because many articles they offer still do not fit the topic so well. Buffer used to offer Suggestions and they worked absolutely perfect for me, but now Buffer has discontinued that option and I am still searching for a good alternative. Appreciate your advice and tips!
Use Twitter to find content. See what your competitors are writing/tweeting about. Take their idea and produce your own version of it with a twist. It involves getting your hands dirty though but if you want quality content you cannot take short cuts!
Take considerations from other platforms to create an interesting content for your blog and it doesn't need to automate the story. An engaging content needs to be unique and beneficial.
You can basically type any search term into google. Chances are, every page on the first page has high quality content - or they wouldn't be there
What are you interested or passionate about? You need to read a lot of quality content in order to create quality content. Just search for topics you are interested in and I'm sure some other topics will come out in the meantime, but it won't be just some random google search.
Try popular websites that provide unique content, like iWriter or WarriorForum (section Warrior Special Offer, sub-section Warriors for Hire) - plenty of top content providers with lots of positive reviews.
Matthew has a good point. Search on the web is always the best option. There are a lot of ideas you can find there, great ones actually. You can either write your own version or dig in to something deeper.
