How to establish a website?

Hello guys,
I have number of websites and how can I establish them so that later I can sell them off. I am good in designing websites but don't know how to establish them. Do you have any idea please?

Actually as you know that a starter website needs a lot of work to bring visitors and customers. What I mean that I want to establish my websites by bringing visitors on it, so that it start generate revenue. Because once my any website will start generating money (revenue) then I can sell my website @ good price. So for this purpose I need to establish my website by bringing real visitors and start earning money and I don't know how to start and from where to start.

You are asking how to promote, market, etc., your websites. It really depends on what type of websites you have, the markets you want to target, etc. Without that type of information, all that you will get here are general comments like "use social media" or "use PPC" or other such activities that may or may not work for your specific needs.

 

Can you give us an example of one of your websites?

The blueprints may vary slightly depending on the niche.

 

OK, I got you now...as Matthew above said we really need more info but even then there are basic steps that should be taken with every site, such as SEO, having FB page, Twitter and whatever other social media accounts will help, you need to do a lot of social sharing. Press releases, guest posts on other sites, if you are getting enough traffic then put an optin form. Have a Logo or header and site name that people in your niche come to know.

I could go on and on but you should read a good guide and further your education.

Also it sounds like you are going to be Flipping them(selling them). If that is the case get Google Analytics up ASAP because when selling a site for a lot of cash buyers insist on it. I used to buy and sell sites and that and proof of income along with a proven business plan can be the difference between getting a few 100 to getting 10,000$

As far as I understand you have certain niche in mind when you design a website template. Weight loss websites look much different as compared to porn websites. Therefore, you expect these websites to have certain audience and this is actually all you need to know in order to start promoting them.
Fill websites with content, which will answer questions of target audience, provide them solutions they seek or entertain them. Hire someone from DigitalPoint to produce this content - there are decent authors here, you'll know them when you'll see them.

This whole concept is somewhat wrong actually. You can't sell a nearly empty website for a decent sum, as Daftdog mentioned above. If you want to sell empty designs - form your portfolio and promote your services here on DP and through other sources like Freelancer.com.

But if you want to sell websites for big money - you're going to have to work hard to be able to offer something decent.

 

Spot on Matthew, I know the kind of traffic you mean but if you are running PPC to the site as part of your business plan then keep all stats so that you can say to the buyer "I spend 100$ a month on Adwords and make a minimum of 800$, here are the keywords and actual ads that you need to run and only pay 0.40 PC".
Buyers love that kind of useful data. I used to sell SEO sites and would run them for 2 months then present all the data and plan to them...win, win, you make cash, then sell the site for a huge amount as you are actually selling a business and full working plan....a business in a box...

 

You can probably pass that off to someone new to the game.

However, I would simply create a subdomain on my main website and test your ads and conversions for a few days.

If the data is accurate I could then transfer the data to it's own domain and viola - a money making site for $10.00

If you really found a way to convert an adwords campaign with an ROI of 800%, you wouldn't want to share that data.

Then, by keeping it secret - you won't be able to flip the site for a decent sum.

All this being said, there are probably plenty of noobs ready to drop $x,xxx on a website only converting with PPC.

Well, I am good in providing web designing services. I have reliable suppliers and I am working with them from long time. So I have websites in which customers can give order to design website according to their requirements. So I am looking for it and want to promote it so that I can get number of customers and later on I can sell that establish website on marketplaces.

This process seem little confusing, given the lots of companies selling their services and the inconsistency of pricing from vendor to vendor. By this simple four steps you able to establish a website:

• Website Name Registration
• Website Design
• Website Hosting
• Website Maintenance

digital tools, like traditionl tools, should flow down from your overall mission/goals.

Your design should too. What's your brand? Are your users tech savvy? Do they want or need colours/pics?

As for promotion, well in the usual channels you'd promote your business. if it's in magazines or TV, then post your link.
