    Pinterest is growing -- that's for sure. It caters mostly to women, but it has been broadening its audience lately.

    Well... social media and signals are part of google's algorithm for very long time already. No matter what matt cutts say, they are important. Maybe they are keeping it kind of secret because social signals are so easy to fake.
    Based on my test on many sites, they do bring value... now the pinterest is added...

    Pinterest is great place to get traffic for art, fashion , cooking and other female interest website as all we know most of user on there are females.

    It used to be that way... Female used to be around 90% of audience of pinterest... today more and more males are going there... there's now 70% female I believe and 30% male audience.
    With this shift, Pinterest is becoming a old-new social media.

    Frustratingly I find that my Pins don't get indexed easily by Google, I'll try building backlinks directly to my Pinterest pages to see if that boosts things.
