    That’s sounds like me!
Being a webmaster and sitting on the computer all day doesn’t help. I joined a gym, paid for the membership and never went. Came up with all sorts of excuses for myself.
This is what I am doing now – I started lawn mowing in the neighbourhood. I took on 10 lawns which I do every 2-3 weeks. It keeps me fit, I loose weight and the best part is that I get paid for it.

You could also do a paper route on foot for exercise and to get paid at the same time. Personally I just started working out again, as my 6 pack and biceps were starting to fade. I just lift weights and run.

The getting paid for physical labor bit only works so well. I started doing stocking work for a mail order company for a while, and so upped my physical activity significantly. Unfortunately, my amped metabolism made me constantly hungry, and the fact that I was on 3rd shift really killed my sleep cycles, and the lack of sleep and ramped up metabolism lead to an increase in my eating, which lead to me gaining the weight right back.

That sucks. Perhaps just working out and dictating articles to your computer will be good enough :D

Cut back on your daily intake, but don't starve yourself. Exercise everyday and don't sit in front of a computer too much (though it can't really be helped if you're a webmaster).

Yea, one thing I do is find some problem that I really need to think about, then work out and think about it. The working out gets fresh blood flowing to my brain, and it helps me think more clearly.

    It's all a matter of calorie input/output.
    What's your diet like?

Exercise is the solution. There are so many ways to do it. Take a bike or walk instead of taking the car, for example. Just half an hour per day of normal exercising should help you a lot!

Taking the bike or a walk can be a challenge as well depending on the community. Some people have to bike for half an hour just to go one way to the nearest store, for example. Living in a walkable community would be a good step, but moving isn't always an option.

Sorry if I sound like a bit of a nay sayer, but this topic is one of special interest to me as well.

They key for me this year was variety... hiking and jogging in nice weather, tae bo and weights for bad weather, yoga regularly. That and drinking a lot more water and taking a simple multivitamin (they can help you out with energy a bit). It's not easy, but it can be done, so just stick to it. :) Once you force yourself into a regular workout routine for a few weeks, you'll adapt a bit and it will seem easier. :) Good luck with it. :)

One meal a day can be your problem actually. Your body doesn't know when it's going to get its next meal, so it stores up the calories from that one meal... it's similar to why they tell you never to skip breakfast if you want to lose weight. Eating in smaller amounts all throughout the day can help, b/c it keeps your metabolism up.

Eat 5-6 small meals a day, workout. Not all that difficult.
I lost a TON of weight, and am building it back to muscle. Last year about this time I weighed 270-280 mostly fat.

Now I'm 235 or so, with much, much more muscle ;)

    Was about a 44 waist for jeans, now I'm a 32-34..

Eat healthy and workout, build muscle mass it'll help you burn more calories even when sitting ;)

What I mean is eating smaller meals more frequently, and not 2-3 big meals a day ... just like Grim said 5-6 smaller meals is generally a good bet. If you mean actually counting calories, you can look up calories at sites like www.fitwatch.com, so you know what's in the foods you're eating.

Yes, you should try eating small meals throughout the day rather than eating once.
Sumo wrestlers eat only twice a day and they are HUGE.
