Is it bad to abbreviate a domain name too much?

I am looking into something like ... myWAre.com .. which would stand for 'My Washington Real Estate' .. would that be a good domain name or a bad one in terms of brandability and remembering..

if you abbreviate it enough, you'll end up with a NICE 3 LETTER domain. ;)

personally, i would go with the long version.
in fact, i have many times.

    IMHO.

    good luck.

In this case, I would go with the longer version. Actually easier to remember (sorta), better for SE's, and doesnt sound like spyware.

Myware kind of sounds like a software site at first look, so it may not be the right one to try branding with. I'd go with something short and catchy along with something longer and descriptive. Market them differently and get more diverse traffic.

The problem is not the abbreviation, but the promotion.

Whatever the abbreviation it has to make sense, otherwise spread the meaning to the world, and good luck.
