downloadfile-5.png Robert Cox won this contest. Excellent work! Thank you everyone that submitted your entries. Also, thank you, Robert Cox, for pointing out the unoriginal entry in this contest. I appreciate you taking the time to do the research.

Also, because so many entries in this contest were so good, I would like to offer constructive criticism to why I chose the way I did. I will reply to each post individually. You are all very talented. Thank you for taking the time to help me turn this concept into reality.

This was my 3rd favorite design. I liked the little chicken on the "e"... my only issue was that the other 2 entries had more commercial appeal. I don't really have much negative things to say about this. You did a great job. It just wasn't the best for the target audience after doing a consumer poll. You did get a considerable amount of the votes though.

This entry was too much like Chick-fil-a. There may have been possible trademark issues. Otherwise, good use of the letter C to incorporate a chicken body into the word.

I didn't really see the commercial value in this entry. It was too cluttered and somewhat basic.

This one was scary. The chicken doesn't look very happy. It looks more like the movie, Saw. Most people that voted agreed that this entry was too depressing.

This one would have won if Robert Cox didn't submit the winning entry into the competition. This is a really good design, Heyendro. I have no constructive criticism for you. You got a majority of the votes. However, Robert Cox received everyone's vote. You are very talented and I appreciate you taking the time to enter this competition.

Hmm... too much shadowing and throwing colors around. Also, you spelled "Delivery" wrong in the bottom entry. As Robert Cox pointed out, this wasn't an original entry and therefore that disqualified you from the competition. However, keep trying. Use your original work. The more practice you get, the better you will become.

I like how you went above and beyond to show what the design would look like in a real-world application by attaching it to a menu. Although your design was good, it lacked audience appeal because the small chicken proved too likeable. The audience felt a need not to shop at that imaginary location in an effort to protect that chicken.

The target audience agreed that the half-cooked chicken wasn't very appealing. They asked what else at the imaginary restaurant might not be fully cooked as well.

This one... the chicken looked too deformed. A few audience comments were that the chickens might have too many chemicals in them that creates this abnormality. Hence, they wouldn't eat there. Also, one person commented that the words, "lacked excitement."

There's just too many variables left open to think about when the target audience doesn't have much time to think as they're choosing a potential place to spend their money. A logo has to be simple enough to draw someone in quickly. Yet, complex enough for branding purposes and to get the point across in a matter of seconds.
