    you can't buy happiness. I think happiness is something that relates to your inner self. Probably, if you are happy, money will bring excitement and more ways to express your happiness.

    But if you are sad, money will do nothing.

    Money can only buy material things. Happiness comes from within. I know because I've been flat broke and had joy. I also had a lot of money and I was miserable.

    The only way money brings happiness to someone is when that person gives to someone who is in need.

    Happiness can not be bought. I believe that happiness is something that can only be achieved with 2 or more people. To be happy you share something with someone or make someone happy. Can money buy you a person? I do not think so.

    This expression is/was clearly figurative when it started and remains so.
    What money manages to buy is trust. Open any bill and you'll see. It's called Fiat money for a reason. Google it. :)
