    There are lots of ways and there is no best way. I would do some research and testing and see what works best for you and your niche.

    Another good way is blog commenting.Leave real helpful comments on high trafficked blogs in your niche with a link back to your website.
    There are many others ways but this one is simple and you can start today.

    Best way is commenting on other's blog posts which are similar to yours. It's good , if you can comment on blogs with TLD's. Comment on blogs which accept do-follow links. Write guest posts on others blogs and insert your links in those.

    Easiest way to build back links is social bookmarking sites. But please use manual metords if you use software to do this, search engines will identify the pattern of the software and immediately ignored your web sit or blog from their SERP.

    If your blog post is interesting and engaging to the targeted audience it will naturally generate quality link from them through sharing and linking with the great content.

    Nowadays, the best way is to go for outsourcing it. When your competitors are investing for promoting their websites, I think it's worthless to spend your time to do it yourself. Rather buy few gigs and get quality links with expert skills. Wish you a great success!

    I agree with Kylie. In my opinion, the engaged content marketing is a good way to get natural back links for you, since you already have a good audience.
    Otherwise, you have to work hard to spread it for you can be seen and start building a new audience.

    There is many option:
    1. Do link excahnge with others blogers
    2. Buy Links on forums like this
    3. Hire SEO company
    4. Create micro sites and link your main website
    5. Create accounts on blog sites like (buzzfeed, storify, behance,..) and place interesting content with links to your main site
    And one recommendation, never buy links in bulk, it can be dangerous. One strong link can have 100 times larger effect then thousands spamy links

    Just Writer a very Well Researched and Compelling Article and you dont need any backlinks,
    People will link back automatically and you will start ranking.

    Thats what I have done on one of my blogs, Just written a 700 plus word article,very informative, and the article is ranking on 2nd page now within 15 days for a good keyword
