Hey guys, I'm a new member on this forum and I was wondering whether you could give me some tips on how I can start making money online offering my design services. Hope to hear some great tips
One way would be participating in the logo design contests on this forum: https://forums.digitalpoint.com/forums/design-contests.94/ Or you can offer your logo designs, etc. here: https://forums.digitalpoint.com/forums/design.104/
Cheers, thanks for the feedback I will definitely look in to offering my designs in the design section once I am able to post in that section.
Just create the gig on Fiverr then make a goo.gl short link to the gig. Then use that link in your sig on every forum you post on. Google loves Fiverr gigs and will send some search traffic to your gig.
Yea, I recommend Fiverr as well. Remember you can offer upgrades to your gigs which will earn you more. Here's some other tips: Create a portfolio website. Use watermarks on your images. Make Pinterest your best friend. Find a couple niches and cater to those as well. - For example Minecraft. There's a lot of gaming communities out there looking for art work. Contact YouTubers & Twitch streamers to do free graphics for them if they link back to your website on their channel. Do you have some examples of your work now?
Wicked feedback, will take action soon. Yeah I can show you a few examples, do you want me to send them over pm?
I would try fivvr but optimise you adverts with keywords. You can find out how to do this on there forums. Also elance and odesk are great
I suggest you create a site to show your portfolio. Then you can get the clients from various forum. Put a banner link to your site on signature. Post a sales thread on every forum related to design.
Fiverr is good. I'm not big on actually creating a gid but have had success arbitraging fiverr gigs on Craigslist. Use search tempest that finds craigslist ads all over and find people looking for logos. They are usually good with around $50 - 100. Tell them you'll do a draft for them at no charge (you'll have to eat the $5), watermark the draft when you send it to them. If they like it great, if not, have your guy fix what they don't like. Send again. They approve. Get paid. Get the high res vectors form your guy. Send to client. There are a lot of people doing this so you'd need to add your own spin to it or really niche down to specific types of designs.
Join the contests at Worth1000.com and DesignCrowd.com It will give you a lot of exposure and brings indirect sales.
I have tried making fiverr Gigs in the past and i am currently trying again now. However I haven't had a single order and traffic doesn't seem to be going to my gigs.
Along with all the other comments previously mentioned, I strongly recommend creating a portfolio. One way of doing that is creating your own site with a unique name so people can remember you by it. As a customer, I would want to see some of your previous work before trying any of your services. And perhaps you can also offer a few promotions/free trials if you can just to grab a few extra customers
