Hi everyone, I have a news website which is built using Wordpress. I've tried a huge number of themes since I started it in January, but haven't really found one that I like. I want one which will organise the homepage into different categories (such as ProfitMag), but my problem with that theme was that the actual text of the news articles seemed to go right along the page, so it wasn't very easy on the eye. My current theme is MesoColumn, but it won't let me upload a header without taking up loads of the page and just basically looking stupid. I've tried so many and I'm about to give up for now! Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi pianogirl, I would recommend you should try genesis framework. There are lot of themes available in their marketplace http://www.studiopress.com/showcase. You can use anyone But even then if you do not like anyone of their themes, thus you can Build a child theme own using basic knowledge of css and Php for the genesis framework. give it a try

It is likely you will not need to customize it with CSS or PHP, but just play with the interface and add/configure widgets simply. There seem to be other good themes, but their description seemed to include fewer functionalities, but I'm no expert and would recommend you to check if any specific feature you need is included with the desired theme. Free / cheap themes will probably require you edit the code manually, unless you content yourself with a basic appearance.
