Contest $25 Paypal - One Color Redesign

I Have a client with a large Roller Derby page. He needs a redesign of one of his logos. This will be placed on shirts and on the page itself.

The current derby logo design (which he did himself) is attached. It's Ok but he feels it's lacking the polish that a designer could deliver

The general theme needs to be the same:
The word
LOVE
spelled out using Roller Derby Items

You can use any Roller Derby items you want (the more realistic, the better) in any combination. It doesn't have to be the same items as in the original logo as long as it sticks to the general theme, i.e. spells the word LOVE

I have attached a couple of examples where it has been done with other niches (drumming & hair) so you have a better idea of what is required

I like what you did with the laces connected to the skates. Not sure about the first two characters 'LO'. Maybe try some other pieces of equipment or add some more destails (like signs of war & tear or dishevelment)

Also, and i'm not saying you have, but please do not use any stock images or clipart

Hi the boot is wrong, it needs to be a Roller Derby boot
I'm not sure what the O is?

The legs you have, they look very similar to someone elses well know Roller Derby artwork...did you draw these yourself?

 

Ok will change the boot and the o is roller derby boots skates wheel type design
if googled "roller derby skate wheels"
i made it , if you feel its similar i can modify with other design legs

The V is fine now but add more detail to the lace that makes up the e
Stil not sure about the L & O . I feel that if you are going to use skates for one of the letters at least add some detail like scuff marks, wear and tear etc. Things that a derby girl would relate to. Maybe the socks should be falling down slightly also rather than rolled up high.

The helmet is not doing it for me either

 

I like the E but this looks a little rough for my taste. It needs to be slicker and the V especially looks strange.

 

My try 100% Vector anything can be change and if you need it any colour i can also do that
