Of course there is no defense, instead I just get death threats, vulgar emails, etc (the usual). I dont think it was from what I can see. It looks like they were using Bots. Hitleap doesn't yield the kind of volume this person was doing (from what I have seen from other people trying to use it).
Thanks for sharing this! We also suspend about 10-15 accounts per week for fraud attempts and I'm thinking about to start a thread related these guys, because we are forced to respond their "scam alerts" everywhere...
Please do, I would be happy to contribute. We deal with the same thing, we use 3 of the industry's top ad fraud detection platforms, and are able to see with extreme detail all activity, from where our ads are loading, to fraud evaluations on every impression. Yet, we ban people who send us literally 99.9% Bot Traffic and some how are called scammers as well. Its about time networks had a voice to display information about people who try to misuse their services, too many publishers go to places like Adswiki where its completely unmoderated and they can change their names easily.
What exactly is your question? What is the point of this information? Maybe everyone who said thanks can chime in cause I thought it was self evident.
