Use #94B18F as your header color in Adsense and change the Logos for the Recent Linux and Mac software tables to actual Mac and Linux Logos. Other than that it looks very professional.
Not sure I agree. I would put this to the test (literally: with channel-testing). As your text and links are all black, I think your best chance is with having your adsense text black as well. Though I do love the green color on your logo and you may want to use it on links in your 'normal' design as well. Either way: different isn't good. The current green on the ads is too light - why hide the ads in a way that people won't even read them?
I'd like to add that the big green empty banner on the right is... kinda empty On other minor point, is the fact that you show your site stats (or at least the links are shown below the site. A solution is to install a statcounter on your server, or find a service that allows for 'stealth' counting. It's much more professional that way, i believe. Lastly, I'd propose another 'slogan', situated in the explorer-bar... The CAPS thingy isn't very appealing... But overall, I think the site's quite okay. Keep up the good work. I wonder whether this generates some business for ya.
1) The site doesn't support 800x600 resolutions, but i guess you knew that when you made the design. 2) You need to put something in that empty header. It would be nice if you could add something short and descriptive that tells users what the site is about. 3) The "Recently added software" menu on the left is unnecessary with the presence of the "recent windows/linux/mac programs" on the right. 4) I suggest that you place "recent windows programs", "recent linux programs" and "recent mac programs" lists next to each other. And then use a "top download" list beneath it. This would save you alot of space, and make everything visible at the top without scrolling down. 5) A menu for "top categories"? never seen such thing. "Top Downloads", i understand, but why would i want to see the "top categories" when looking for something in the category(ies) I'm interested in? 6) The "add to favorites" and "make us your homepage" links would be cool if we were in the 90's, but right now it's unnecessary. The presence of those links won't change anything about the visitor's decision. Hope this helps.
Not bad. I want to start a download site in future. Hope you could share some of your experiences then.
