Just want to share if i am lucky enough to be the 80s-90s Generation. Here i post (Picture or anything) i could remembered about those time. Feel free to post several things you hate or like at the time. Start Sharing guys, not just reading... ;p
I Dream of Jeannie – one of my all-time favorite sitcoms. Though it was aired from 1965 to 1970 in USA, it's dubbed version in Hindi was broadcast again in India on Sony Entertainment Television during the late 90s. Not sure about the exact year though. I was just a schoolboy then. I guess I haven't missed a single episode. Doom II: Hell on Earth – one of my favorite (MS)DOS-based FPS games released by Id Software in 1994. I still love to play it. Haven't completed the Nightmare difficulty level yet and sadly, cheat-codes don't work with it.
I think i remember the sitcoms. I like it when the jeannie blink her eyes to create something for his master. Nice share mate.
Okay, first I have to admit that I am older than dirt. In the mid-1980's, I was selling engineering/scientific software which worked on mainframes and minicomputers. Visiting a client to do a demo was a nightmare. You either had to get access to one of their machines, install the demo software just before the demo, etc., or you could bring your own monitor with modem and try to connect over a phone line to the mainframe or minicomputer back at headquarters. Imagine doing demos in which you have to constantly fill the silence in the air as the screen refreshed over a 28K telephone modem. So, when Apollo Computers and Sun Microsystems came out with Unix workstations, you could actually ship a demo platform to the customer and then wheel it in on a two-wheel truck and do a demo! It was fantastic: But shortly after that, the PC revolution began and Compaq came out with the software salesman's dream: It was the famous "suitcase" PC which could be carried on a plane and then hand carried to the customer's site. The screen was too small to do the demo, but customers would gladly share a monitor for the demo. We did not think that it could get any better than this! LOL.
Thanks. Well, 'Old is Gold'. So you shouldn't really feel bad about it. PS: Sorry if I missed the sarcasm.
Hahahahaha... If you all knew all the things we shared here then it means we are almost have the same ages (probably... Hehehehehe). It was fun to know there are several people coming from (almost) the same generations. The untold reunions.
I was 21 and had a semi truck. After the movie "Smoky and the bandit" I went and bought the car also. Tip: If your t-roofs start leaking when it rains, clean and give the rubber weather stripping a shot of silicone spray. Problem fixed.
80s Hair Metal LOL! Neon Colors everywhere, TMNT, Thunder Cats, Alf, the Original Nintendo, recording your favorite songs off the radio onto a casette tape, and good old TGIF. I used to watch all of those shows with my family every Friday.
Terrible movies, awful fashion styles, enormous eyeglasses... It's what I think of as the awkward years. Kind of naiive too. I am from that generation myself too, by the way.
