Why the USA is the best!

The U.S is great, but I personally think some of our freedoms are eroding. I just hope we can maintain our freedom in the face of globalization.

 

Living in Japan, I gotta say that I now appreciate how cheap the cost of living is in the US.

 

Opposite with me, being in Costa Rica I finally realize how expensive the U.S. really is

 

What part of Japan? I hear Tokyo is the most expensive place to live it the world.

Tokyo, just down the road from Google Japan HQ.

Rent is $3,000 a month, but it's fair. The most absurd thing is the cost of meat and greens - most of it being imported. I bought a melon the other day for $20.

I sometimes think about moving to Thailand and living like a king. Never been there but I hear it's super cheap.

There is no such thing like the best country in the world, but US is one of the best.
Canada is one of the best too, Australia is good too.
Grand Canyon is one of the greatest thing in America.

 

Yes, I lived in Seattle.

I'm not a fan of the US though. Seattle, for instance, is an absolutely beautiful city, and the people are nice; but the government of the US seems a bit... out of control.

Most Japanese speak some English, but I was raised here so I get along fine without using it.
