Would anyone like to tell me the "worth" of blog commenting.I mean if you are guest posting on pr4 blog and at the same time you post a comment on pr 4 blog,do they have the same value?.It goes without saying that i am talking about guest posting or commenting on relevant blogs
Can google understand where is link placed, in the main content or in the comments? Yes, he can, it's simple. Does Google make them the same weight? I don't think so... It seems, that it's important where is link located. And from main content it make more effect.
The truth is that a lot of people will tell you spamming blog comments will give you neg seo but from my experience that's just not true. Any backlink unless it has porn/drugs/etc is not going to be neg seo. The key is to not get sandboxed however. That's why you need to tier the websites with 301 redirects. Same with people saying that spamming social signals = neg seo. That's not true either. I have run many tests and it always increases my rank no matter how much I spam. If you're manually posting them then I think it's probably not worth it though.
You might be right be,is it feasible in long term?I am saying this might work until the next major update by Google.Even guest posting is endangered now.
if you're trying to build a brand then i would not advise it. if you want to make money in the short to "medium" term then i think it is more efficient to automate than to worry about future google updates or brand image
If there is a link placed on the blog comment I think it weighs only if it is relevant to the blog. I mean, I believe that search engines doesn't have that ability to read and fully understand what the comment of the user is but through the links linked and engagement it gets. It gives signal to search engines.
This will be useful if only the admin will allow the link to appear. He may like the comment and approve but your links won't be there. So stop wasting.
Blog comments still pass link juice. Not much of difference for Google, but Bing algorithm simply loves fresh blog comments.
Guest posting and blog commenting are two very different things. So phrase the question properly if you expect accurate answers.
i know they are different.I just want to know how useful blog comments are in comparison to guest posting. For example,i want to know the ratio of their relative effectiveness, like 1:5 or !:2 or something like that.It is so i can channel my link building efforts to the more effective technique. Thanks for answering but what i want to ask is that should i concentrate on guest posting or blog comments.Nowadays,i cant even seem to find blogs for dofollow commenting. On the contrary blog commenting is easier,so if you could just give vague idea about the difference in worth of both these types of backlinks.
You do realize blog comment links have the nofollow tag? It's not a link building technique only clueless noobs who don't know what they are doing use it to try and enhance their SEO efforts.
Not all comments have nofollow tag.Although it has become pretty difficult to find blogs with dofollow feature.I am saying this because I commented on at-least 5 blogs with dofollow feature today.
By default they do. And the blogs that don't usually have dofollow to get comments and then revert back to nofollow.
Yes that's true. So,in the end blog comments are not just worth it and i should go with guest posting.
Guest posting and blog commenting. These methods are easily tracked by Google which means these process triggered a red flag due to excessive use and manipulation of rankings. This nowadays no follow and do follow has the same weight for me because a link will always be a link.
That's not true if it's a porn site. I used to for a porn site of mine and it was ranked on the first page of Google for popular keywords
I'm not against with guest posting nor saying that don't use this method but what I'm trying to point out that Google is aware of it due to excessive use of submissions concerning content.
