Best way of receiving money online in India

I am currently working on a project for a client in the U.S and im wondering which is the best method to receive money from him in India. Is it paypal or something else? doesnt paypal give it after 20-30 days after asking for it?

 

There are two

1)Paypal

2)Xoom

You need an credit card for the paypal verification and it will usually take 20-30 days for an Paypal check to arrive in India

But you can send the money via Xoom it will take only 6-7 days

The important thing is that you should give a foreign address for Xoom account (you can fund Xoom account via paypal)

Moreover, you should also, have a non-indian, verified Paypal account.

well i usually ask all clients to pay via xoom. Just provide the bank ac number(they cover all major Indian banks) and ask your client to transfer directly to that. Its fast and the costs are way lower than western union.

The only safest way to withdraw money for Indian is requesting check from paypal. But, you can request only after your balance reaches at $150.

 

For situation 1 you cannot transfer

But for situations 2 and situation 3 you can transfer the money

Today I got a email stating that the Xoom transaction has been completed

My address is singapore

But I registered with an Indian address and then changed to Singapore


Now I have no problem
