If you want to rank it in United Kingdom, why didn't you purchase the .co.uk domain?

doesn't matter you have either you have .com OR .co.uk domain. But You have to optimize your website according to that search engines. I have worked in sites having .com domain & having a Good ranking in UK.

So your target will be .co.uk to build backlinks for your sites. This will help a lot to reach your target.

I would like to inform you that if you have an office in the UK and you can handle his clients in the UK then you can use UK NAP. If you want to target UK market but did not have an office in the UK then you need to USE head office NAP. Here is one more problem without local NAP you did not register local business directories and submit your website on it. That's why you need to use local NAP for local listing. Thank you
