Why does Google 'surpress' a website with a penalty? (not banned)

    Could similar order pages (not identical) cause a surpression?

    Has anyone else suffered a surpression from Google?

    Theres only 10 spots on the first page of the results page. It has to surpress a few thousand sites for every search term.

    But what about when it surpresses a search term from #1 to nothing so it no longer ever ranks without banning website?

    I would need to take a look at the actual site to be able to comment. If you previously ranked number 1 then you should be able to get back up there with a few tweaks.

    The google algo changes every now and then and some people win and some people lose rankings.

    Yes it happns some times if u link to illegal/adult or any such sites.But google is far better then MSN.Some times in keyword is #1 opp se experts wantedly link to illegal sites to get our site down.
