If his profile stats are right, the OP posted on July 13th and has not been back to DP since. He never replied to posts that day and missed half the posts which occurred on later dates. Probably told his friends that he asked for advice on DP and never got any help. :)

I would probably stay clear of using Zendesk in the title. Once your product gets some credibility and users then you can look at comparing your product to there's however while you are launching try to come up with something thats catchy but sums up your product. I personally like something simple like XYZ - Faster system, Better support. Or you could try something like 'our system $xx, there system $xx, the difference??? Nothing. Save $$ using XYZ' Not overly catchy, but hopefully it gives you some ideas.

Well, not exactly wasted because your ideas (and everyone's who has contributed so far to this thread) can be a valuable reference for anyone looking to create a title or slogan for their product.:)
Quite right. And on a forum with this size and traffic, it would not be an exaggeration to say that people expect a hundred more in half the time.:)

I think the title can be like this:

Cost Effective Software Like Zen Desk

    So here we are stating:

    1. Less price
    2. Similarity
    3. Briefing that the product is similar to Zen desk

I think Content Maestro is right on target with those ideas. I don't know Zendesk but try something like what Content Maestro said like cheaper alternative to Zendesk, cost effective might sound better I don't know. Do a poll of potential buyers about titles. See what appeals to people. Do a poll on here even. I liked XYZ, the power of Zendesk is now affordable! but you could use any combination of those in your promoting.

EDIT: I actually agree that maybe it's dangerous to use the word Zendesk because of legal stuff and maybe you need to separate yourself from them. But it also sounds like you want to associate with them.... so I don't know.

Put Zendesk in the subheader or do a play on its name.

You have to put your main keyword in the title.

Remember, Google has a limit for the title what they show in results. They don't use the whole page when showing results only 1 third of it.

So your title needs to be within 55 characters or less else some words wont even show to searchers in the results!

It's not to say that you shouldn't have a homepage title longer than 55 characters. But just that Google only "shows" so many in the SERP results anyway.

Its not just putting your main keyword within the title. It will require an interesting and unique title that is noticeable by the targeted audience.

Ok, seems this thread became "independent", a kind of lesson about titles and services with similar features.

Anyway, so we can say the most important things agreed by anyone are:

    1) never use the name of other services in your title. Yes, you need to be unique and create a brand. Otherwise it's like you worked to grab money only without giving anything valuable to your customers.

    2) you have to get the chance to add new features. Again, you need to make a brand, and explain why your service is better. Just making a cheap software is not a good idea.

    3) titles must be attractive and at the same time explain your uniqueness. And I think titles can really change a lot your success since can bring the traffic you need to survive in the initial difficult months.

I'm not familiar with the software but I've got a couple of tips.

Firstly, I'd agree with the poster above - don't use Zendesk if not many of your audience have heard of it.

Secondly, write down half a dozen benefits of the new software and choose the most important one. Then work it into the title.

Titles will dictate whether the rest of the article is read, so it's worth putting a lot of effort into it. They need to be extremely benefit-driven.
