    Hi guys,

    By your opinion, is it better to have many categories in forum so users can track specific topic, or not to dilute users over large number of categories, to have it simply just few of them?

    I've red many pros and cons for each so, by my own opinion, I'm for just few categories, at least at beginning when somebody starts new forum.

    You can categories them later once you get to have lots of topics for a particular category. Dont create categories without threads on it for the forum will look not busy for new users.

    It's good to have multiple categories so that every visitor can find a category they are comfortable with.

    Well, I think more categories = more content (topics). The best number of categories is 7.
