I began studying multimedia production, especially in the field of graphic logo .. And I want to ask you ... software or applications do best in making logos and cartoon. I'm still learning and have shortcomings. Hopefully by choosing the best I can be the best designer.
Photoshop works good for beginners but it's not the tool for commercial design. Photoshop is a pixel-based program (that means that everything you create is a definite size and it's made out of pixels). So if you try to resize a logo for example drastically, it will mess up the quality, and it's definitely not good for printing. What I would recommend is Adobe Illustrator. It's a bit harder to learn at first but you get used to it. That is a vector-based program, so everything you make can be resized to any size without quality loss because it works on the principle of mathematic equations. Hope that helps Good luck with everything!
I would recommend adobe illustrator aswell, if you want to create proper high quality logos adobe illustrator is it, photoshop while is really easy to use for webdesign etc, in illustrator the designs look some much nicer.
Gonna have to agree to some extent with adobe illustrator. I guess it all depends on what type of work you are trying to do. I use a program called Xara. It is an awesome tool for logo designs and web design. If you are gonna keep using Photoshop..........yeah try to get an academic license because that is how I was able to own one.
I know that it might sound weird, but i have found that power point has great features in editing images. My wife who is a graphic designer has been playing with it a lot, and got really great outcomes. She just mixes images and forms and does great stuff. Good luck!
