hey guys i am little confused about social bookmarking!! means What Is It?? and how it ishelpful in seo .. i need detailed explaination, i find many site that gives social bookmarking information but not sufficent for me.. till now i got to knw and i did some social bookmarking like submitting or bookmarking or website link on these social bookmarking website like ... readit, squidoo, digg, diggo, please help me some one...
for me social bookmarking not just linking your site , but it's also like a viral for your blog and drive lot visitor to you.
They are just website which saves your like. Do remember that your links are public not private. So that other people and search engines can see them. This is just an SEO link building strategy and can give your website a necessary boost in SERPS.
This is it!! as it is called Bookmarking websites, it just does what it says, however, some of them can bring some really good targeted traffic and thus sales (some are using it as social networks though)
Social bookmarking is designed for bookmarking important or invaluable references. But because of SEO, it is mostly considered a source of link juice/backlink.
Do not use social bookmarking network just for promoting your website and services but also for sharing valuable and interesting content with your targeted audience.
I use social bookmarking two ways. One for backlinking. Two for traffic and branding. By adding valuable content I see visitors from social networks to my website plus they get to know me on the social media sites. I think adding good valuable content to social media sites for traffic and branding is much more important nowadays than trying to get a backlink.
