Maybe they know you're a McD fan (Well, I suppose you are!) and wanna keep you informed and updated about their offers. What's better than doing it through social media?
Now, you need to let Burger King know that Mickey D's is following you. Then Wendy's, Carl Jr.'s, and Sonic. When you finally get to having White Castle following you, you will have captured the burger twitterverse. Congrats, by the way.
OK guys, that's pretty cool. I can see some big cheeses following you. Congrats everyone! But I can't really figure where this discussion is going and what's it all about?? I mean people are just coming here and saying all these things about their Twitter following and then complimenting each other. So what exactly is the point? Someone please enlighten me. I'm not really 'following' what's going on. Nothing fancy, but still ….....
General Chat is designed for (and I quote) "Anything your heart desires can be posted here (assuming of course there's not already a different area for it)." I guess some threads here will be more lighthearted and maybe even pointless at times. The thing is what maybe pointless to one person can be of a great interest to another. Never know.
OK OK, wait a moment. You got me quite wrong. I'm NOT AT ALL saying this discussion is pointless. I was just not able to gather why people would want to post about their social media following and acclaim each other for it unless something's really electrifying. I was looking at all this quite seriously ........ so I guess I missed the fun part. Anyway, reading this has been very amusing so far esp. with a new perspective. Cheers.
But is it not, if you really think of it? I am a nobody (not really, but still) and McDonald's corporate folks started following me. That speaks a volume to me. Indeed, I am doing something right. That's the fun part. It's really, really fun if you think of it. Imagine if I was a billionaire and I started following you on Twitter, would you not be excited? I think you would.
Yes, certainly there's something to it. The big fish follows you and you can't just be mute. I get your point now. Well, almost the same thing would happen to me if someone like Matt Cutts were to follow me (even if it would have been from a fake account).
If they follow you, you can send them a DM asking for unlimited free double quarter pounders with cheese - MAKE IT BACON!
I think that a free McFlurry would also be in order... Joking aside, it would be interesting to know what caused a member of their social media team to follow @qwikad.com 's account. That person was likely adhering to the current "follow" policy for Mickey D's and it would be interesting to know what criteria was met. They actually do not follow that many accounts considering their potential market.
They are not following my @qwikad Twitter account, but rather my fastjobster one: https://twitter.com/fastjobster That one is about local jobs and I wonder if it's something that they see as a way of reaching to more job searchers. If you keep scrolling my followers you'll see it somewhere there: You're right, I probably should give it a try!
Connecting with job search sites sounds like a good corporate objective for them. I love the Stag Arms follower right next to them, too.
