I would suggest the only pig-headedness is taking place in the minds of those who think god is real. Science does not know how life began, you seem to think you have the answers. This is not about science V religion, this is just religion making a claim that is completely unsubstantiated about how the life began in our universe. You are the one who is trumpeting. So you think you know how life began do you? Want to elaborate on that?
Actually you seem to be saying that somehow science has disproven God or the Bible, maybe you can explain in what ways.
I dont think I did. If I did, then I think I explained already. But here you go again: Its not possible to prove that something does not exist. The bible does not make any claims worthy of serious analysis, simply that a god made everything. If you want to tell me something about how life began then please go ahead and explain.
I do not believe god exists. Its pretty simple. From what you've said, you think god does exist. And you are the one asking me for facts?
I know by whom it began. I never claimed to know how He does it. This is an error of conservative Christianity as well as athiesm. Both suffer from the illogicality of presumption. The former by their misapplication of the Word in Genesis, and the latter by it's quasi science which would promote that absense of evidence is evidence of absense.
You are not stating whom made it because the word God does not apply to an actual individual. God is a concept. By claiming God made the world and has some relevence to life and death you are making a very significant statement. You think God made the world because of faith, hence I do not ask you for facts and reason. Please dont ask me for facts and reason just because I don't follow your theory that a god made the world.
No wonder you don't believe in Him. With this as your cornerstone, where else could you go? God is not a concept. Our foolish attempts to understand Him are. A rock, a salamander, a kiss in Ireland is no less a "concept" to you. And by your own criterium, also unsubstantiated.
Adonai-Jehovah -- The Lord our Sovereign El-Elyon -- The Lord Most High El-Olam -- The Everlasting God El-Shaddai -- The God Who is Sufficient for the Needs of His People Jehovah-Elohim -- The Eternal Creator Jehovah-Jireh -- The Lord our Provider Jehovah-Nissi -- The Lord our Banner Jehovah-Ropheka -- The Lord our Healer Jehovah-Shalom -- The Lord our Peace Jehovah-Tsidkenu -- The Lord our Righteousness Jehovah-Mekaddishkem -- The Lord our Sanctifier Jehovah-Sabaoth -- The Lord of Hosts Jehovah-Shammah -- The Lord is Present Jehovah-Rohi -- The Lord our Shepherd Jehovah-Hoseenu -- The Lord our Maker Jehovah-Eloheenu -- The Lord our God To name a few...
I would laugh, but I hope you are just misinformed. LOL conservative Christian creation? The conservative Christians I know don't like or tell their kids there is a santa, it is the liberal "christians" that I have seen keep the stupid thing going. but anyways...... I shot the santa but I swear it was self defense I shot the santa, but I didn't shoot the elves you see.. ya ya (tune of - I shot the sheriff)
Just a quick side note... "Santa" as it is presented in the U.S. is unique to the U.S. as far as I know. Most other cultures associate December 5th and 6th with St. Nikolaus - bishop of Myra, St. Nick, or "Santa" is not part of the Christmas celebration per se.
