    Hi everyone, Chad's here.

I have been around Digitalpoint forum for awhile now and I feel that I have not given any value back to the forum yet. And online marketing & advertising is my passion and expertise. So, if you have any questions to ask regarding online marketing and business in general. Please feel free.

    Hi Tunescool,

I understand your situation. Like I mentioned in other threads. Social media traffic is not good to hard sell them something, because they are not on their buying mood, they are just browsing around seeing some funny pictures etc. Think about it this way, how can your service be more interesting than funny pictures, quotes, videos on their news feed? That is not possible, right? Unless your product is video games, that's another thing.

You need to promote information instead of services. Let's say, instead of posting " 5,000 links for $$ - cheapest in the whole world ", you should post your own e-book or blog post that says " Why cheap SEO doesn't always produce cheap results " - I assure you it will be more effective than blatant promotion.

About paid advertising, do not waste your time with them until you have some money to throw away for testing. Media buying is both tough AND incredibly lucrative and only the big guys make bank.

Forum is key to selling your SEO services (considering you try to catch lower end clients), I am on different forums and almost every single day, there are more requests for SEO services.

I suggest you read more about SEO, both to educate yourself and your prospects. Remember, do not try to sell, educate them. Rapport will be built and the sales will come.

I wish I could be more knowledgeable about SEO. I am sorry, my SEO knowledge is very limited.

Which one of these 3 has been the most beneficial to you as a marketing tool: Twitter, Facebook, G+ and why?

    Hi there,

Out of the 3 social media sites, Twitter is the most effective because you can get the word out much more quickly than, say, Facebook because Facebook limits the exposure of your post unless you pay to advertise it. My team and I manage quite a few client's Twitter accounts and often times, we make sales just by answering people's questions.

And what I like to do is to answer our competitor customer's questions. We have got a good number of leads just from doing this.

Agreed. I used to think Twitter was this little stupid thingy no one should use. Boy, was I wrong. I get more traffic from my 20K+ followers than I get from my all other social media outlets combined. My goal is to grow my Twitter account to 100K in the next 6 months. Hope that will happen.

100K followers are a lot. Is your target audience B2C? Because I usually do B2B and the most my team and I can get is 5K followers. Haha

Ah, looks like a solid piece of software. Is your business "business to customers" or "business to business?

I am sort of in between. I'd say mostly it's B2C though.

That's perfect. 100K followers are still a lot. How do you plan on doing it though?

I grew my account from 11K to 20K in about two months. It's a lot of work, though. Using tweepi you can identify accounts that do not follow you back (trust me, there are a lot of those) and unfollow them. That, in turn, gives you a leeway to follow more and more people. I guess, the goal is to find people who will follow you back and who are interested in the stuff you do. At the same time, targeting profiles with various (different from my field) interests has also proven to be beneficial.

Just to give you an idea what my followers / following are: https://twitter.com/qwikad

Great! I didn't know that following people who would follow me back would be beneficial.

    There are some methods that I like to implement;
    1. Participate in relevant hashtags
    2. Retweet authority figures in the field
    3. Blatantly ask for retweets (it works wonders haha)
    4. Share our client's blog posts and interviews

The first one works the best for us so far because we simply go out there and interact with people, if they like us, they'll follow. I have been using Kissmetrics for analysis and the results have been astonishing.

We've just discovered tweepi recently and yeah, it has been a great help - our clicks, engagement and following went up like crazy and we also gain some hot leads.

Oh great! Tweepi does seem to have good reputation. I'll test it out and maybe recommend to more people.

    Hey Hasnad,

Can you tell me more about your product? Because without knowing what your product does, it is quite hard to tell where it is exactly to advertise.
