Your post seems to belie that. I count at least 60 grammar, sentence structure, syntax and punctuation errors in this one post.
Hey Pal, Thanks for stopping by my thread and taking time to read it thoroughly. And if you can take so much time to identify the errors, then you can surely point out all those 60 errors. I want to come up with a better service for my future clients and tend to present my work in a much more apt manner. So please help me finding out the errors.
Unfortunately, I do not have time to list every grammatical error, but I will explain the ones in the first two sentences. 1. The plural of the noun "content" is "content". 2. "Some" is poor English and makes the sentence less clear. 3. Authority is not an adjective. Authoritative is an adjective. So the sentence should read "Every developing business needs great, creative and authoritative content." 1. This sentence is not only packed with grammar mistakes, it doesn't even make sense or have a place in this content. Why would everyone love to submit content? I don't particularly love it. It's just my job. Besides, what does that have to do with your advertisement? 2. "high-affect" should not be hyphenated 3. "high-affect" is wrong anyway because the word you are looking for is "high-effect" which still should not be hyphenated. 4. The non-word "high-effect" should be replaced with an adjective like "effective." 5. "crisp" is a poor choice of adjective for this noun. (But that's just my opinion) 6. There should be no comma after "web." 7. "Custom written" should be hyphenated. "Custom-written." 8. "As well" should be used in place of "too" in this case. So, the sentence should read: "Everyone loves to submit effective, custom-written and unique content on the web as well." That's still a terrible sentence, and not particularly true, but at least it is grammatically correct. Hope that helped.
My friend, I didn't ask for your personal opinions. It would be better if you can check your posts first. I hope you don't get this thing personally. I can also point out errors in your all posts, but it's not my job to come and bash the threads of others. See the attached screenshot and compare it with your 5th remark. Regards, Pennman.
Yes, I used the adjective "crisp" in that post because it worked well with the noun "copy." It doesn't work as well with the noun "content." You did ask me to point out your errors, and now you are apparently upset about it. Next time, don't ask if you don't want to receive. As for why I commented on your thread, I went to college, earned a Bachelor's Degree and have spent the last ten years learning to write professionally, and I (and the other professional freelance writers on DP) are making less than burger flippers get at McDonald's because everyone is buying sub-par content like yours at $0.50/100 words. It is ridiculous. You non-English speakers that write badly but charge peanuts have ruined my career so you're damned right I take it personally.
Come on dude! First, you should learn how to behave with others and I don't think you are a professional writer.
What is going on here? What is the argument about? Pennman, let's face it for a while. Are you sure you are going to provide quality and friendly content? It is highly unlikely. From your thread description, it is quite clear that buyers will be disappointed, unless someone is creating content on your behalf. My advice would be, take a clear look at the errors Keyboard-Monkey has pointed out, go through them line by line and see where you might have gone wrong with the whole thing. He is right and I second his opinion. It is nothing personal.
It's very easy to advise others not to take things personally and to correct their mistakes or improve their behavior. @Kenya Writer, would you take it sportingly if I were to point out some mistakes in your posts and ask you to improve? E.g., one of your posts which is quoted below has a lot of mistakes - Every letter with which a sentence starts has to be uppercase. You are using a lower case for all letters with which you start your sentences. This mistake has been committed 5 times by you. What do you mean by “the guys is a retard”?? You can use either “The/These guys are retards.” or “This guy is a retard.” Since a single person is referred to here (I suppose), “This guy is a retard.” would be the appropriate choice. A plural noun (like 'guys' in this case) and the verb 'is' CAN'T be used together. After the sentence “the guys is a retard,” a period would have been better than using a comma. Alternately, you can use a connecting word like 'because' so that this sentence shows a consistent relation with the next one. I'm not saying you are wrong here but using “This guy is a retard because he sent me several mails asking me to work for him and when I said I have a team of writers, he blocked me.” or “This guy is a retard. He sent me several mails asking me to work for him and when I said I have a team of writers, he blocked me.” would have been much better. When you use the first person pronoun 'I', it ALWAYS has to be uppercase. You have used the lower case of letter 'I' to indicate the first person pronoun 4 times throughout you post which is incorrect. These are mistakes which at least I can point out. You or anyone else can do the same i.e. point out tons of mistakes from my posts. However, the point to be considered here is doing this is NOT going to lead us anywhere. We all make mistakes as we are all humans and making mistakes is a part of human nature. There's nothing wrong with it. If you have to show others' mistakes, at least do it with the intention of helping those people to improve. This is very constructive and helpful for everyone involved. We are competitors, no doubt. But the competition should be healthy and should not be taken down to show others as somebody inferior. I am sure you will NOT take my comment personally. One more thing I don't get is why people are trying to spoil the OP's thread. DP is a FREE and GLOBAL platform where anyone can advertise their services. If you don't approve of something, just stay away from it and move on. If you do want to point out what is incorrect, at least do so via a private message. Doing so publicly can greatly hamper the business that advertiser might get through this site and I am sure NO ONE likes it for oneself. WOULD IT BE FAIR, THEN, TO DO IT TO OTHERS?? @pennman, I apologize for my interference. However, I DON'T mean to take your thread off the track. Sorry again.
@Content Maestro I definitely agree with you. I may have made several mistakes in that post, but that was a long time ago. I also agree we also make mistakes. What am saying is that we should accept the mistakes, own them up and do something about them. Regards, Kenya Writer
FYI: Last week i gave him a rewrite task. Pennman promised me, to deliver this by Monday, still nothing, but wasted my time!
