A multi-billion dollar company (most dominant/active company in a ''well known'' country - on the news every hour of the day) wants to buy several domain names I own. The domain names are relevant to one of their companies.

I am a noob so I don't know what to ask, expect, appraise, etc.

Could someone help me with this? I asked them to make me an offer...

Also: I have a list of about 400 domain names, lots of bitcoin related & new domains (like advertise.cheap, certified.domains, etc.) and not sure how to start selling them/appraising them (I use Estibot & the free tool @ Sedo, I listed my domain names on a few sites only). If you can help me sell these domains, I'll give you a nice percentage :).

Did the email sound something like this...."I represent a wealthy investor from...currently has a budget of $XXXXXXX....and interested in purchasing your names....."

It's a scam to get you to pay for their appraisal service. Sorry.

I have received those before, but I can assure you that this one is actually from that company.

It's an employee, with a company email, who approached my registrar instead of me (private registration), that's how they contacted me.

I can also check if the IP of the emails is the same as the company's location, I am certain it would check out, but don't need to do that either.

No BS about being a Nigerian Price, that they are some employee from a wealthy Swiss client, etc.

    It's legit.

Thanks for the reply, but I mean; what should I ask for the domains?
Can someone help /guide me with the ''strategy'' to choose, value, etc.?

I'd be talking to my lawyer too. and the domain broker suggestion is good too, find one who has dealt with some good solid sales that you can independently verify. @Beagle seems to follow the big sales, s/he may know who the good brokers are.

You don't want to sell too cheap but if you ask too much they may decide it's cheaper to pay lawyers to take them from you on the grounds of trademark violations.

Yeah, I checked if it is a registered trademark, but can't find anything anywhere.

I am originally from that country as well & lots of family members have made millions over the past several years. One thing I know for sure, is that the ''legal department'' is not as strict/organized as in the west. The government has other problems on their mind. They (country) dont even have a proper website for filing/checking trademarks etc., the person in charge uses a Yahoo email, so that's that.
