Well, according to Google updates everything has changed. The most important thing is website content. Website content should not be copied or old content but must be interesting and visitors should find it worthy so that they can stay on your website. Backlinks from high page rank website also works. Social media also should be given more importance.

 

Keeping in mind, that google and search engines do not see forum signature links on most forums, including this one!
And for posting on forums, again, most forums have entire sections that are closed to search engines, links are no follow, links can be hidden from search engines.
In other words, forums are not all that great anymore for links.

 

This will be very difficult. And you maybe need to wait for a very long time. Because Google is eventually going to stop using "page rank". There are a lot more important ranking metrics. Majestic SEO and Ahrefs have created theirs, which are 99% more reliable than page rank.

Due to the anti spammy link building campaign for PR boosting, GG would ban those website trying to get massive link, In my opinion, the PR doesnot such important, I mainly focus on the conversion, copywriting optimization on the website and build trust in the audience instead of having a high PR site just for SEO.

 

since I have started the blog my page rank is not updated lol I guess backlinks are the main source.

 

you can buy text link sitewide, the anchort text is placed at homepage of a high PR website, this is fastest way to have tons of high PR links to your sites.

ANd since google has not updated page rank is so long, and no word yet from them if and when they will again update page rank, why don't you all just forget page rank?

Just focus on your SEO If you know how SEO is work you can do every thing as you want you are saying how increase traffic,traffic depend on site them (for example if you create health blog if you share good idea related to health than automatically your visitor will be increase,because fat is big problem in this world every one want to know how to decrease weight if you have real idea of decrease the wight than you will get regular good traffic) and also other factor is very important, link building, and most important social media and its sites i want to say a lot of things more but have short time

Page rank is no more associated google ranking factor as they won't update from now on, so focus on other factors but most important thing is site's quality that determine by Quality of contents, Useful information, High Authority Backlinks, Popularity of website and Traffic. Work hard on these things and you don't need to see back for other things.

Share you blog post to your social media networks (Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus). Build quality links to high PR DA websites(SEO).
Join in forums and discussions. Do Infographic too and share it to slideshare. Update your blog every week. Check on your content. Create classified ads. Bookmark your webpages to bookmarking sites. These are some but I hope it helps.

 

This is basic question for SEO Starter . Just make quality back links with rel= follow attributes .
and analyze your current back links on the basis of DA, PA and follow/no-follow
