When I search, wiki is always located in the top answer. I believe that seo is not, so how they do. we can do the same with our website?
Here is a study that might help you answer your question. http://searchenginewatch.com/articl...ies-Examine-Wikipedias-Page-1-Google-Rankings
First it is not always in the first page google treats it just like any other site, it rank high because its domain authority is 100 (rare) and no one has problem linking to it. (one of the most linked sites) But if you don't want any SEO explanations then the best way to answer your question is Wikipedia is the most trustable site.
Because there's a new trend now of adding so-called authority links in guest posts and such so people keep adding wiki links so it gets natural seo boost. It's a really stupid idea of doing it but that's what a lot of people do.
Because of its HIGH Authority... Google loves sites with High Authority and "helps" them stay on the top..
Wikipedia has a ton of backlinks from authority sites and it's an aged, established site as well so it's an authority site in it's own right. Wikipedia's articles are longer too, more than the average web article and they usually contain many references for their users to get more information. Not only that, all their article are written after painstaking research has been carried out and their site is easy to navigate with a "table of contents" at the top of each article so you can get to the information you need faster. That's exactly the kind of site Google and users would like to see at the top of the search rankings. Although you can't attain the level of traffic or recognition that Wikipedia has, you can replicate some of their success by building a very useful site with great UX.
Hi Wiki has always been at top because of millions of quality backlinks, made wiki with higher page authority and domain authority
Well, with PA of 96 and DA of 100 how many sites do you believe will be competitive enough to take them off first page for most searches?
Simple. Google want to help their users/customers/netizens with related answers & informative. They know WIKI are credible and providing correct informations. Following by tons of backlinks to Wiki and other reasons.
And it better stays like that. Wiki show you all the info you need to know based on facts. Which is good.
Suuuure, based on facts. Its not like nearly anyone with a opinion of their own can go ahead and produce a half-structured article with their own viewpoints...oh wait...
