Okay..first let me give you some detailed information about what you would be a partner in.

CPays, or CasinoPays..Is an online gambling company that runs a number of online casinos and poker rooms on the net. They are currently running an seo competition which you can read all about on their main website www dot cpayscom dot com...

I happen to check it out at the right time and scored the .com for the exact keyphrase..Since then I have put up a blog and added content, done some minor link exchanges..etc.

In this competition the main goal is to reach #1 in MSN..with theexactkeyphrase.com, blog content, and link exchanges..you would think MSN would love me..Well, the competition is tough!! There are some very talented seo experts in this competition and I am still fairly new to the seo field (but steadily trying to improve!)..I held #1 in MSN, Yahoo, and Google for a while when the competition first started..but have since dropped...I am now roughly 3rd in Yahoo, 6 or 7 in google, and not even in the top 5 pages of MSN..

Here is the payout structure for the compeition:
February 2, 2007 winners are announced:
    #1 in MSN = $10,000
    #2-50 (i believe) = a minor prize, I think $50 or something..
    #1 in Google = $1,000
    #1 in Yahoo = $1,000

Now that about sums up the competition..Now what is it exactly that I am looking for?

I am looking for someone to partner up with in this competition. I know time is starting to become a HUGE factor as there are only about 52 days left..My site has been up now since the beggining, has some link popularity, has some content, and is already in the SERPS..I'm just looking for a partner who knows that much more, and can help take it up to #1.

What am I offering?..50% of the winnings. If you are a skilled seo expert and think you can help acheive this with me please contact me. Please please pleeeaasseee make sure you look at the keyword, look at the current competition and what not before contacting me. Remember, you only get paid if we make it in the money, which you will know first thing by doing a search on Febraury 2nd..

So I think I have pretty much explained everything and what I am looking for here. If you feel you are skilled enough please contact me. I can give you my URL and answer any kind of questions you might have...Please only SERIOUS people contact me. Time is running out and I need 1 person asap!

    thanks

Sounds like you are doing very well so far. When did the competition start? I have also sent you a PM requesting the key phrase and domain to start some research!

Wait..so they are paying more money to be #1 in MSN than in Google or Yahoo? MSN is wayy too easy to manipulate...but it's not impossible...my advice is you keep the gold to the end (a week or so). (there ya go, free advice)

Midwestmerchant, are you sure this is a legit contest first? Here's why I say so, I can understand them thinking more casino traffic might come from MSN but..paying 10x more for MSN position sounds a little odd for me.

Save the gold to the end means, save all your best tactics to the end and roll them out once your competitors have exhausted theirs. This doesn;'t mean you do nothing and slack off for the rest..you'll have to keep an eye on your competitors and change your golden egg often depending on the tactics they use.

What is the whole point of the contest? How is it benefiting CPays?

On a side note, CPays contacted me a while ago to advertise on my Poker Website. I told them I don't do affiliate work and charge flat fee rates. They accepted and told me to put the link up until they send me the payment (in couple days for their administrative tasks).

Anyways, they ended up postponing the payment and I took the ad off. They told me they would pay me twice what I asked (flat rate) if they run affiliate for two months. (I didn't accept and they never contacted me again).

Another story I heard from someone else in another forum about Cpays.com -->
They told the guy they would pay him based on the traffic sent from his website to the casino website. Once it was payment time, they said all the traffic sent was fake (the guy is a reputable guy in couple forums and his website is pretty good) and they would not pay him...

Watch out and keep up the good work.
    Good luck in the contest...

Ps. If you have something good to offer in return, (not necessarily money) I can post your link to my poker website's homepage (www.blacksburgpoker.com)

Depends on the terms. Perhaps for the term "Poker itself.

Exactly! The whole reason why the contest is even more fishy..first they offer way too much for MSN knowing MSN's the easiest of the three and then have their own site in the contest..

Thanks for all the responses guys. I have received a few PM's and am thinking about whom I want to consider to partner with. Just an update my site is now number 1 in Yahoo - still the same for Google though...

I agree with alot of what you guys have said..CPays is not the best "gambling affiliate" out there..But its a chance for me to work for something, and test/improve my seo skills. The previous contest they held the main big prize did go to #1 in Google, maybe they just decided to mix things up a little?

Anyways, I would be happy hitting number one in Yahoo and Google and not even worrying about MSN..That would still be 2k and personally, I think it would mean more to myself knowing that I can work and optimize my site to get number 1 in Google than being like the 20,000 other site's that spam and blackhat their way to #1 in MSN..

I have not heard or seen any reports of people from the first contest not getting paid or anything, so I am assuming they will pay out at the end of the contest..What are your thoughts?

Also, if anyone is still interested please shoot me a PM. I have about 3 other's right now I am trying to debate between but time is quickly running out. Thanks again for all your comments and tips guys! *cheers!*
