There's some software I'm trying to run and it's not working properly. My latest crash report to the developer was rejected because I wasn't running java 7 In the logs I can clearly see it state Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (1.6.0_65-b14-462-11M4609) but when I go into settings I get I'm new to osx - is there some other java software I'm meant to be updating?
I am running win 7 ultimate 64 bit so I had installed 64 bit version but I found after installing/updating to latest version many software ask that your Java version is not upto date or not installed so I did installed 32 bit version and removed 64 bit and it works for me.
Sorry for hijacking the thread for a second. I just noticed that one of @FreeFun4Every1 's sites in the sig looks out of whack. Just thought I'd let him know. I think your .css link is being blocked by some code or something:
That's cool. He's probably just added the SSL certificate and hasn't uploaded the SSL plugin to convert all those references over. I got it sorted in the end. Mac's Settings were reporting the JRE version while my app was using the JDK version. Downloaded the JDK and hey presto, problem fixed.
Thanks @qwikad.com , I think Sarah is right may be it's due to SSL btw it's not my site actually I don't own any of site from my signature link but thanks for your remark I had already PMed original owner about this issue. Nice to see you had sorted yourself, sometimes we are the only person who can find solution & the software you were trying to run must be something development tool or something because most of Java based software use JRE. PS: thanks for SSL suggestion.
