    Hi all,

I've been reading up on domain and website flipping for the last six months now and I've decided to dip my toe in the water.
Can anyone give their honest opinion on the following?
Please be as honest as you like as i'm here to learn.

    WarHeroes.Net
    Dopy.Org

    Thanks people, in advance.

    Jim.

No value for either of them, at least investor value. War Hero's isn't really brandable, it's not in any industry, and it's on a .net. Dopy...a misspelling of dopey that doesn't belong on a .org extension. Stick w/ .coms and head to the aftermarkets.

Thanks sweetpea69 for the advice. I did notice that the DOPY.COM sold a few years ago for $2500. Does this sale lend any value to the .org?

Yeah, I see the sale. I'm surprised that seller was able to pick that one up. That was a gem. Pronounceable 4 letter .com's have value, but not .org's, aside from 1 word, acronyms some organization might want, etc. But there's a lot of 4 letter pronounceable .org's still floating around that don't have any immediate value, like this one. If you want to make a solid investment w/ a .org, you need to ask yourself if you could see an organization on that domain. In general, don't rely on similar/exact past sales. They may be a great way to ~reinforce what you have bought, but shouldn't be used as a deciding factor on whether to buy it. I'd spend $X,XXX on dopy.com, but I wouldn't spend more than registration for the .org. Of course, it's all up to what the buyer is going to do with it. Most things that "work" on a .org, will work on a .com. But ~not vise-versa.

I can't see any value in these

The sale of DOPY.com doesn't mean anything for DOPY.org, try and stick to .COM when starting out this business, its not easy to sell .org, .info, .net etc

.ORG is mainly used for non-profit and charity organisations

Thanks for the feedback chaps. Some really interesting points. If I'm being honest I did buy a .com earlier in the year but suddenly realized that I don't know what to do with it. It is 'BestPPIclaimCompany.com'
I'm pretty sure its one to maybe put down to experience, but perhaps you guys could tell me different?
