I'm researching on Wikipedia these days and believe me its really an interesting topic. Why to get wiki links even though they are No follow ?? Well, wiki links are no follow but still it is recommended to get links from Wikipedia. There are numerous advantages of having them. Let me list some. 1.Wikipedia gets huge traffic and thus having links on wiki pages will boost our traffic. (One of my site gets 100+ quality visits daily from just 2 wiki links) . 2. You may criticise me but It's true. Google does have an algo which make it crawl no follow pages also. Though it may not help in ranking but yes it helps in many ways. Will let you know later. 3. This is the best reason to get wiki links. There are 100s of bots/bloggers/sites etc that scrapes wiki pages and post on their own sites. This way if you have a wiki link it will automatically get scraped by them with the content and will be posted along with the content. Thus giving you backlinks, and sometimes it gets converted to dofollow. So this way you can get more traffic, ranking boost and backlinks. 4. DA also increases with Wiki backlinks I hope these points are enough to make you realize about the power of a wiki link. There are some real secrets as well but due to some reasons it can't be shared. I don't want wiki to get spammed.
