According to its whois record - http://whois.online-domain-tools.com/link/11be7gpuaY1A5whs/ the owner is someone from Mumbai. Their about page - http://www.forplex.com/about.php - however, says it is a company from England or British Virgin Islands. Digging a little deeper, I would bet on the Indian guy. One can find a related company that link to some SEO projects, this fits the forplex.com profile. But no guarantees about it ...
As old DP members know i was the owner in the halcyon days of directories way back when... I would also like to know the present owner!
Saw it listed for sale on flippa.. Interesting to see the revenue drop off 2008 with no promotion > 1,300 USD (We have had to work on other projects) 2007 with promotion > 20,000 USD 2006 with promotion > 20,000 USD Kinda wonder what they were asking....
If you carefully notice Mia the sale thread is by the original owners of the said domain themselves ie., BritishGuy(Pete) Pete if you remember whom you sold the site to, he is (I am) the owner till now. Though currently forplex ''may' change ownership hands as we have received some interesting offers.
Might wanna get everything working on the site before you sell it... Great post PPForum thanks... The truth always comes out in the end! The truth being that the site is now worth zilch!
Great post Mia! Now we all know that in real life there are suckers virtually on every street corner! Hence if that is the same on the net, maybe there is someone out there that will pay more than the site is worth! No doubt some more sales BS will now follow
One of my biggest recommendations to anyone new in this industry is that due diligence is HUGE! Those who don't do it will usually end up burned and pissed off in the end..But if they don't do their due diligence then it's their bad.
