How to create a perfect size image in cm or inch in illustrator? It's always smaller than the actual size.
I think you can't because it is in vector format which can scale to anysize with same color styles. When you save as jpg you can set the exact size in cm or inch.
So how should I save one which need to be printed as size: 10cm X 5cm ? Assume I'll create one with 10:5 ratio. Then what next? How do I convert it to 10cm X 5cm. I tried creating one with 10cm X 5cm in illustrator, but it's smaller than the actual 10cm X 5cm size.
you don't have to worry how looks in the artboard because it is vector. So, you have to create a new document with dimensions you want and start working. make sure you set proper bleed that your printer require. check the below image how to set. Even if you start with a 1cm and .5 cm document, it is good for 10x 5cm printing as it is illustrator and in vector format. In vector format the colors are calculated in the coordinates unlike in raster graphics (psd) which calculates the colors of individual pixels.
Yeah, I had created as you mentioned. But illustrator CC shows a smaller size than it. So is it fine for print, if it's smaller? For 10cm X 5cm I'm getting this size.
10cm x 5cm is actually pretty big, if you check in the scale your yellow color image, it will be in smaller size. So go ahead not a problem. When we design for A4 we don't care how it looks in screen, it will be printed good in a A4 paper.
Hey Buddy In Adobe Illustrator CS4, you can get your layout created in CM or INCH by doing this: Create New File or Press CNTRL + NEW, a following box will appear and this will appear: (And you can do that easily)
