Contest $50 Logo Design Contest [7 Days]

Hey all! Back again for another client and need a good logo to cover the basis of a new blog that's going to be opened.

Name: Blog for Food
Concept: Designing a riff based off of the saying "Will Work for Food" - "Will Blog for Food".
Design: Looking for a sort of mascot that can be used that's clean and simplistic. A flat design that fits well into a modern and flat website design.
Mascot: Preferably a young guy in his 20's, holding a sign (wooden preferably) that says "Blog for Food". You're welcome to put a faded or scratched "will" before that, but that is up to you.
What the site will be about: How to make and monetize a blog.
Colors: Totally up to you at this point, revisions may be needed, but I am letting you guys decide for the time being.

If you can't design a mascot, I am fine with seeing other entries - but you risk it not being chosen. Ultimately, I would prefer a mascot.

Contest will end in 1 week, and payed for via paypal. I'm looking forward to your submissions!

I like the design quite a lot, but I think the colors and facial expression are a bit grim. I think a happier outlook on the color/mascot would be great. It's going to be ran by an already successful blogger who makes a complete income out of blogging and is sharing their tips/recommendations/advice on how to do the same.

No, sorry. I don't like that at all. I am designing the site as a flat/modern looking site. That, unfortunately, won't fit into the design at all.

 

I got your PM and don't like this at all. It's been ripped from google and then stretched out so it looks even worse than the original. Please don't PM submissions to me, I'd rather have them in the thread, thanks.

I also don't want ripped mascots. If I wanted a ripped mascot I'd be offering $5 for this contest.

Upon further review, he may have inadvertently used the same stock vector art from his resource collection, and did not necessarily steal it outright. I will give him the benefit of the doubt since his version is a higher-res than what you found using Google Image Search/Tineye.

 

To each their own - I really didn't do too much digging to be honest I'd rather not pay $50 for someone to add some text to a stock vector that they can download for free either way. I think it's just bad work ethic to do so.

 

Then again, he could have at least change the shirt colours if he has the original vector art to work with. Plus @G-Venom deleted his post. A guilty act if you ask me.

Glad you like it. Made some happier color versions and facial expression. I assume the blog is not ready yet, so I can simply guess the color scheme. Let me know how you like it.

Better, but can we see a few more examples. Client preferred for mascot to have blonde hair. So a couple different facial expressions and color choices would be great.

 

How about this?

 

Me and client prefer the first logo that was submitted. After testing out multiple versions on the site and seeing how they would look, we think that will be best.

I'll keep competition open for a few days, but so far, CEMarketer is in the lead. We will need some revisions on this and have PM'd you to get contact details.
