Please critique my mockup design

    I am not a designer, I am just starting web design,focusing to be a front-end developer somehow. I made this design to build for my personal project portfolio. It is not modern website because I want to learn more about CSS layouts like the old trends.Need your advice and I guess it is still in progress. Salamat

    The colour scheme for me works well, the layout is very simple and can easily follow. Not a huge fan of the body text though, takes me back to a 90's feel. Apart from that nice job!
