    Thinking of creating a small image hosting website. I have a good plan but besides that I need to consider which advertisement companies I'll use. Adsense is always a first choice but as everyone knows they can be pretty strict and disable accounts without warning.

    Checking out imgur.com it appears they use adsense.

    Even on images tagged as sexy:

    I even see some nude pictures, I won't link them here, and they have adsense advertisements?? imgur is a pretty big site. I'm assuming they'd only use adsense if they knew what they were doing.

    why do you want to use adsense, which is contextual advertising, on an image site, that by default has images and not text on it. The give away is in the name - ConTEXTual advertising - which means it displays ads relevant to the text it finds on the page. It can't tell what your images are about at all.

    That I don't have the answer so can't help much as I don't have such a site, you should get a response on here from someone that may run a similar site though.
