I would only go for Social Media Optimization and the other methods stated above are triggering red flag from Google because the search engine considered these as link schemes that violates quality guidelines.
If you'r an on-line marketer don't afraid to use above said methods. All the above said methods are very helpful in increasing traffic and not harmful if done properly i.e. with white hate techniques...

The content is in the form of infographic that is highly informative and at the same time entertaining. When this is being set up, I utilize some plugins that has the tendency to integrate the social buttons. The infographic is then posted in relevant groups and the result has been amazing. Furthermore, I also utilize the power of press release
I would say that the most important is Content Marketing. If you generate good content and value to your users traffic will come. Then use Social media, forums, direct mail,paid ads, phone calls, or whatever to be sure people knows your content. If your content is really great, people will share and traffic will flow. Whitout this value to users it is "bread for today and hunger for tomorrow"
