I don't know what you're looking for in an affiliate program like ClickBank or CJ. But I think you should be focusing on what products your college audience is going to want. If it's just general college audience, then they're money tight, probably socially susceptible to things like wanting to lose weight and possibly wanting educataion-related products.

 

This is so true! Simply placing ads on your website will not generate sales. You need to know what your demographic is and what sort of things they might be interested in. Once you have this info, you can use it to pick advertisers with products your demographic would be interested in. As for network, I'd suggest two in particular that I know are decent and have decent networks and variety: Linkshare is one of them and the other is eBay Enterprise Affiliate Network (http://www.pepperjamnetwork.com/).

 

I can suggest to create own webshop, importing data from existing website with low-cost goods (drop-shipping from China) and get 20...50% markup from sales. If interesting - let's co-operate.

If the traffic is from a country in which Amazon is available, then you can use Affiliate program of Amazon and promote books, gadgets and clothing. Just do a bit of brainstorming and think of all the things that the college goers can buy.
If your traffic is from India, then you can also use the affiliate program of Flipkart.

 

Thanks people for replies. But I think I did not explain what I was looking for. I am not looking to monitize my traffic. I want to be a merchant and use affiliate networks to get people signup for my affiliate program.

 

So you get traffic and you want to convert that traffic into money by being an affiliate and selling your traffic a product? Is that correct? Is the product your product or do you need to sign up as an affiliate?

 

Sometimes you dont need to make sales to make money.

If your product is good, you can have your product on many networks.
