What percentage of time do successful bloggers allocate to each aspect of their blog per week? (content, design, SEO, networking, researching, promoting etc) Do they have a routine? if so what is it?
Zero....they outsource everything. All kidding aside, it is tough to do everything yourself if you are very busy and still want to enjoy the I.M. lifestyle, meaning free time to do whatever you want whenever you want. Enter outsourcing!
But then again if you outsource the writing of your content you may inadvertently outsource the quality of your blog too. You should do at least 50% of the writing on your own (better yet all). SEO is dead, so you don't have to worry about that. You can rather cheaply outsource the designing. Social media is key to promoting stuff, so that would be your best bet.
I should have been more clear...even though I outsource, I only use their work as an outline. I rewrite everything. It does save me a lot of time by using their work as an outline. Hope this helps.
It is hard to do everything yourself, and the time needed is simply not worth it. Like what some mentioned, you should still control the quality of the content.
