    I like the second one most (the plug without the extra blue circle background to it). I'd use the simple logo and decrease the icons size (I lot), put them side by side and try that on your theme to see how it'll look.

    Definitely can shrink down the size. I always want them as big as possible and then shrink down, because it's better to have an over sized image to shrink rather than a crappy quality photo.

    It is actually best to check the size for the specific area and then build your logo to fit :).

    How do you plan on promoting your forum?
