Hey Folks! I'm just getting a company up and running, and am wondering what would be the best type of advertising/marketing? I've been quoted quite a bit for a website/logo/design.. (4500) and i think that i could spend it wisely on other ways (full wrap for company vehicle) Time on IG and FB... until i start making enough money where i could spend that type of dough on a nice website. First new thread, hope its in the right area.. Thanks for any help/ideas! Evan.
You're better off if you do everything yourself and safe the money. You'll usually receive much better outcome in this fashion. However, if you're going to pay I'd definitely spend it on SEO and link building. Just make sure you research your SEO company/client, before agreeing to a deal.
If you can get three likes on DP, you could run a contest for a logo and solicit a web design for very little money. Then you could spend the rest of your money on advertising or other such lead generation efforts to drive people to see your logo and website.
I noticed the Logo contest on the website... Some of the stuff people are coming up with is really awesome! I really like this forum so far, and am glad that i joined. Thanks for the heads up!
You can try backpage's creative services. An example of the types of ads posted there: http://losangeles.backpage.com/CreativeServices/
Best bank? Media buying and a mixture of Google Adwords. Can't *exactly* recommend Bing Ads since i get mixed results with it when participating in other niches. Youtube advertising is good too. What niche are you in?
The best bang for your buck will be: content. First the content, then later the design and then after that, paid marketing.
All good info, thanks for the replies.. I plan on doing wicked high quality content, excellent packaging. Good demo tools, social media, then like you said eddiecon, paid marketing!
Au contraire, I have been doing offline marketing for 25+ years. At one point, I was mailing over 1 million direct mail pieces per year for a software company. I have also run a call center with 30 inside sales reps. Have done traditional advertising with ad agencies as well as third party partner programs and much more. The OP discussed his interest in a logo and website design, but did not specify what his business was about (though he did talk about doing some vehicle advertising.) Without more information about his business, it would be silly to offer marketing advice so I suggested how he could get a logo and website cheap.
LOL...my experience is deep but my know-how is TBD... We can play parsing games with the OP's post and go back and forth about what his interest is, etc., but that is irrelevant. I was replying to your post about no one on this thread having done or knowing about offline marketing. Simply not the case. At this stage of the thread, without knowing anything about the OP's business, no serious marketing person would offer any advice regarding online or offline marketing.
Website/logo/design.. (4500)? Wow. You don't need that much to have a site developed. Is your marketing primarily going to be offline, or online? Because there's alot of different things that you can do to promote your business using both.
Well it depends on the features of the website and how complex it is. So what if you're making millions a month? Does that mean that you have to pay $1,000 for a McSpicy burger?
