Is Barack Obama The Worst President in the History of the United States?

Discussion in 'Politics & Religion' started by Corwin, Jun 16, 2014.

    There, I asked the question.

First, let me get my personal feelings out of the way. The totally incompetant way he handled Hurricane Sandy destroyed lives and ruined businesses. It took almost a year for most people to see money from their insurance and at most people got maybe 60%. 80% of the money earmarked for Sandy victims went to such projects like fisheries in Nevada. My brother's house still doesn't have a livable first floor.

His horrible way of handling Syria. Obama claimed to draw a line in the sand and that the USA would get involved if chemical weapons were used. Chemical weapons were used and Obama did nothing. Obama was denounced in the European press as a weak leader who can't be trusted because he does not keep his word.

The nightmare scenario of Iraq was that the USA would exit and Syria would invade and overthrow the government. Well, Syria has invaded Iraq with a coldblooded ruthlessness not seen since Stalin.

    The failure of Obamacare.

Real unemployment is still estimated to be over 15%. One out of every five households has no one employed.

Real median family income has been in a continuous downward spiril since he took office.

The slow and non-response to the BP oil spill has caused irreparable damage to the environment.

Obama's runaway regulation and war on coal has resulted in skyrocketing electricity prices.

Poverty has soared to over 50 million Americans, the highest in the history of the United States.

The number of people on food stamps is at an all-time record high of 47.7 million, up 80% over the past 5 years.

African Americans are suffering unemployment in the double-digits.

The IRS targeting of political opponents

The NSA and runaway illegal surveillenace of the American people.

The monitoring of phone calls and email of the AP news agency.

    Benghazi.

The ATF Fast and Furious scandal.

    The Pigford scandal

HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius solicited donations from companies HHS might regulate, as well as multiple violations of the Hatch Act.

Violating his Constitutional oath by admitting that there are laws his administration will refuse to enforce.

    Did I miss anything???

The badly mistake people make is to believe that the civil wars started on their own.
    NO, they did not.

The Syrian opposition was armed by Saudi Arabia, Qatar, US and Turkey. There could be no civil war if those countries staid out of it.

Libya was peaceful until the west decided to get rid of Kadafi.

Ukraine was peaceful until Obama and Merkel decided they needed Ukraine as their vassal.

Obama messed up three countries all of them now are killing each other in sectarian wars. And no one knows when they will be peaceful again.

Whenever Obama interfered death, rapes, destruction and sectarian wars followed.

It is good Obama didn't bomb Syria things would have gotten much worse if he did.
The Europeans did not want to participate in the bombing of Syria. Where did you get those lies from that they wanted?

It is Washington that wants most of the time wars.
Instead of cleaning up the image of America, Obama tarnished it more.

    Did you leave anything out?

I thought Bergdahl being traded for five Taliban leaders was a ghastly horrible maneuver, even before we found out Bergdahl deserted. I thought Barack Obama standing up on stage with Bergdahl's father as he rambled on in Arabic and Pashtun was surreal. I noticed SNL never parodied the event, but I suppose there was really nothing to parody. It was darkly humorous and beyond idiotic, all on its own.

I thought the broken campaign promise to reform the VA was really driven home when we found out vets were quite literally dying while waiting for care for months, while government bureaucrats hid their wait times and deaths by lying on their paperwork.

I thought "the failure of Obamacare" didn't even begin to describe how his "signature legislation" drove members of my family off the health insurance policies they were very happy with, only to offer them replacements that cost more than double, without lowering deductables or out of pocket expenses, and while decreasing the number of doctors, drugs, and hospitals.

I thought it was horrible that James Rosen, a Fox Reporter, had his name put on a sealed federal indictment for treason, which Eric Holder then shopped around to five different federal judges until he found one that would allow him to "sneak and peak" Rosen's phone and email records, all in an effort to punish some member of his own administration who leaked information to the press.

I think the way the Obama administration continues to stonewall and simply thumb their nose at subpoenas for information, about fast and furious, about the IRS, about anything really, makes it appear as though Obama considers itself completely above the law.

I think the claim offered by his IRS, that they have lost Lois Lerner's (and 6 others involved in the IRS targeting scandal) email for a period of two years, is beyond the pale. It is something that anyone with even a mediocre background in ANY area of IT would know is absolutely impossible.

In a nutshell, it is way, way, way, way, way WAY beyond incompetence, or simply poor leadership, though those are certainly key component parts to this Obama administration. Much of what we are seeing is overt disregard and disdain transparency, and the rule of law. He is not just bad, he is evil. Its not that he hates America, but he really really likes power.

I watch Hillary peddle her lies and revisions of history in her fledgling presidential campaign and I have to wonder how many people would REALLY like to see Benghazi Jane in the white house, looking for another filmmaker to blame for her incompetence. Hopefully no more than want to see another Bush or Obama in office and I would like to think there aren't many of those.

Obama has a solid 10% black people vote, who support him because of his race, not because of his service to the country. So if you take those 10% out you will get a disaster % of support for him.

Corwin; Please, please before you make yourself look even more stupid than now (if that is possible:) ), find someone who can explain the fox news for you. Syria never invaded Iraq. It is USA best friends in Al Qaeda that are making U.S. Government looks so incompetent. USA has paid over25 billion dollars to fix the Iraq army and the poor guys don´t even have uniforms and shoes. Is it a wonder that they run away as soon as they see Al Qaeda groups coming toward them?

ISIS supporters mocked First Lady Michelle Obama today.

The jihadis were gloating over the rebels’ capture of hundreds of millions of dollars in US military hardware by making fun of the first lady’s famous tweet last month showing her with a sign that read “#Bring Back Our Girls,” a reference to the schoolgirls kidnapped in Nigeria.

ISIS moved a truckload of captured US Humvees out of Iraq to Syria last week.

    -------------------

Lets be honest, Al Queda could never make the US government look so incompetent without help from the idiot in the white house.

Here we go training the Iraqi army. Starting with Jumping Jacks.

It takes talent to do them like they do.

I guess they have to be renamed to "Iraqi Dancing Jacks".

For all the stupid people who listen to government BS and want the USA to be involved in different wars, visit this page:

    Cost of "security" for Americans

It shows the cost for different "security" programs and wars and then you can click on trade-off button and it choose your state and city and it shows you how much as tax payers, your city has paid. After that you can choose different programs like health care, education,... and the number of people that you want to provide it with. I tried it for Los Angeles and doesn´t matter how many children you want to take care of or how many veterans you want to provide medical care to, you cannot finish in the money.
This is sad when a country that has the possibility to take care of every one of its citizens, prefers to waste the money on wars which cannot even win.

What are you talking about? This is America. We have the money to not only have the government "take care of" all our citizens, but also the oceans of people who illegally cross into our country. Welcome all of you! We will "take care of" all of you!

BTW, really wish Candiens had made it to the Stanely Cup. It would have been my pleasure to watch the Kings stomp the crap out of them instead of the NY Rangers.

Spoken like a stupid American. If the government duty is not to take care of its citizens, why the hell there is a need for government? It seems the ideal form of government for these stupid people, is a gang of thieves that rob people through taxation and then spend the money on useless wars that enriches few corporations.
The jealousy of small minded people who cannot imagine or tolerate that someone is getting help because they need it, is unbelievable. They prefer that they pay tax and some unseen company steals it than their sick neighbor get medical care or poor children get better education.

Your idealistic, fantastical, make believe flavor of the nature of man, how the world works, and indeed, how things work in America is always interesting to read GWorld. Then again, as a self avowed marxist, you would have to be the ultimate idealist now, wouldn't you.

America worked because of the liberal principles of it's founding fathers based on the writings of people like Locke, and Hume. There was very little about being taken care of by mother government in those writings, but lots about being free (from an oppressive government) to succeed or fail on ones own. If you like, I would be happy to do a comparison of the successes and failures of that philosophy and compare them to any of your many marxist success stories. /snicker.

I have a real problem with government saying they are going to take of everyone. Well they did nothing to help me when i lost my job and was unemployed for 2.5 years.

Zero money and I did not qualify for food stamps. Their reason..."I made too much money." My unemployment ran out after 6 months and I was told that I did not qualify for any extensions. REALLY! I have worked since I was 15 years old and what I have paid in to the system only helped me for 6 months (for $600 per month I might add).

    My credit is now destroyed.

So I have VERY little tolerance for government.

From what I have seen and read about the President he is at the all time high of being the worst. But to add, our entire system of government is at a close second to him. And that includes Republicans as well as Democrats.

LOL. I prefer to be an idealist, set on helping my neighbors and fellow human beings than a small minded, jealous and pitifull person who is being screwed by the government and big corporations but is happily going along as long as he feels, the other people are not getting anything that he is not getting.
American worked because of a certain social, economic situation, the same way that Persian empire, Greece, Rome, Spain, England worked before and not because some writings. In fact, American never even worked properly because from the beginning was involved in crony capitalism which has gone worse and worse. In historical perspective, the USA has been the shortest lived empire ever.

Accepting abnormal and unnatural way of thinking does not make one smarter than the others. Don't fool yourself.
Gay sex is normal only for gays. For the straight people it is an act of sexual perversion. If this makes you feel smarter, so be it, but I for sure won't join your ranks. And you be as wide minded, as you possibly can.

LOL. I think you are so upset that is finally becoming obvious that you are gay that in your anger and embarrassment, you posted in the wrong thread. I have no problem with you being gay and doesn´t bother me at all but on the other hand, you have a such hard time with your sexuality, which you have no control over and instead of enjoying your life, you are full of hatred, confusion and embarrassment.
I am happy and contant while you are in the closet, embarrassed and upset which makes me definitely the smarter one.;):)

So your entire Marxist ideology is one of helping your neighbors? I think its time you picked up a history book and looked at the damage socialist and marxist policies have on people's lives. If that is your idea of help, perhaps its time you stop helping. Your neighbors would be better off.

Every time you hand someone something for doing nothing, they price they pay is a small amount of their self esteem. It has been proven time and time again, be it welfare, food stamps, or the large stipends given to American Indian reservations, where poverty and alcoholism are rampant. People of native american descent who were not members of Federally recognized tribes, and therefore not the beneficiaries of the handouts have fared fare better "struggling" for their existence like everyone else in America.

As far as being happy about being tooled over by the Government and their cronies in the private sector, I don't think anyone anywhere on any forum has given that impression.

Friends of the government, ANY government, are always beneficiaries for being so. Is true today in America, it was true at the birth of America, and it is certainly true of every other country on the planet. It is one of the many reasons our constitution so limited our government. On this, and so many other topics, America is only horrible until you compare it to most other countries.

Perhaps we can agree it has gotten much worse over time, as a function of the pure size of government.
