Now dont get me wrong, the website review forum is one of the best on Digitalpoint for improving your site, others comments can really help, however I feel we at Digitalpoint are having to go through crap posts, from people just wanting to promote. Website review seems to be "Website advertising". I reccomend that we have it so you need to have 20 posts and been active for 7 days before being abLe to create new topics, that way when I comment on a site I KNOW the owner cares about the comments and not just visits. You can tell when someone just wants the visits as soon as someone posts a bad comment {but constuctive} the website owner will moan. I enjoy reviewing peoples sites, and sometimes spend time creating code & Images for them for free, but it would be nice to Know it is being read.
Have to agree, way too many are not really reviews, just trying to get people to go to their sites. You can usually tell by the wording whether they want a review or just visit their site. Especially when it is an affiliate site or the site they send you to redirects to an affiliate site. Hit the triangle and report the post if it is not a review.
I agree with you..I've seen many posts like Visit this site for free hosting etc...abc.com etc why dont you guys simply post please review my site?instead of posting like visit this etc.. Saad
but Shawn 10 posts are nothing man even new users can easily make 10 posts by posting in intro section... Saad
Agreed. It either needs to be more posts or a time limit, with a time limit the user, if a spammer will get board and forget to come back and spam us.
It's posts *and* time frame: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/faq.php?faq=dp_faq#faq_posting_guidelines
