I am writing a special report for how much for what

I am collecting material for a special report. I an going to get a chart on how long a job takes and how much to charge per hour.

I want to cover content writing, programming, tech support, virtual assisting and marketing fees.

I had to search high and low for what I have now and need to collect a lot more to make this report useful.

Does anyone have some input into what else I should add and any hints and tips you would be willing to share?

I’m sorry but what exactly are you trying to do and why? Are you trying to make a report on how long it takes to do some webmaster related tasks?

I am in marketing and and I am a content buyer. I need to purchase many different types of services and I am trying to gather the informaton that will make "making offers" easier and then I will put it in a book to offer to others. And yes webmastering is part of that.

You are in marketing?? Which part??

I would like to see you price SEO services.

Seems to me that due to the varying nature of websites, keyword terms and goals / objectives, methods of earning revenues you would be hard pressed to pigeon hole pricing.

    Good luck with that.

Yes they can always charge plus 1 but I want some standards and advice.. Like this...

You can buy content articles for one dollar for five hundred words.. you can.. on rent a coder you can get bid for that low.. What you get for your dollar is usually a article written via a software program, something plagiarized or written by a writer that is a great programmer but does not really speak English that well. But try to convince them that writing a program is different..is not easy. If that amount of work is what you have time for go low.. but if you want a bit less work:

You can expect a good article written by a writer for about two cents per word and at that price you can expect few errors and a descent read.. even a writer that can give you keyword dense articles. Anything above 2 cents will get them edited something you will not need to spent time with...Remember time is money.

This is just a bit or what I will write about and the way it will be set up.

So it is not going to be a chart but a report of choices.

Well as a content writer, i normally charge about $10 for a 500 to 700 word article, and each one normally takes about an hour with additional research to do.

ten dollars an hour for 500 word is approx. 2 cents a word.

I am a bit more familar with content rates.

I wonder about webmaster rates. How much to install a script? On average and what is the going rate for upgrading a blog.

I hire people to do these things and the rates swing so far left and right I never know what to offer.

Well i haven't installed scripts, but i've done markups from PSD files to html/css pages. I normally charge £35 per psd, which takes around three hours to do, so about £12 an hour.

Markups? You mean coding images to make them into webpages?
