Scams and scammers are found everywhere. The tragedy is that they just can't be avoided. You have to very careful. Thanks for the word of advice though FastCode.:)
I use https://www.mywot.com/ to check a website's reputation and trustworthiness before visiting and using it. You can simply put a site's url in the search box provided on https://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard. That gives you some idea about the site in question. (I do not work for them or am not trying to promote them, but sharing this information might be useful for some.)
Can anyone suggest some more authentic tools that can be used for the same? Much appreciated.

Often I try to google the sites url, find out any reviews -> but even reviews can and often are fake.
I dont use WOT on its own, but I have used a site that has that included as well, I use, allsitestats to lookup whois details (yea yea, its mine). I know alexa is useless as a stat, but something that has alot of reviews, and like a 25million alexa, well you know its suss!

One thing to note is that in Australia, 50% of all of the money reported that is lost in scams is lost to nigeria. 50%! the remainder is lost to all the other countries. Just remember, that Australia is not alone in this. So quite simply, if everyone refused to do any business with anyone in, from, related to someone from Nigeria, then straight away, the number of people hurt in scams worldwide, would be halved.

    That's a scary statistic.

Or if people grew a couple of brain cells and stopped believing that someone they've never heard of really did die and leave them $25 Million. Quite frankly, I find it hard to believe how gullible people are.

It's also important not to tar an entire nation with the same brush, of course. There are plenty of legitimate businesspeople in Nigeria, struggling to make an honest buck, just like everywhere else.

One of the scams I heard of recently was someone from the UK, met and married someone from Nigeria, once they were a full blown resident, the scam started to unfold, and the entire thing was they wanted to get to the UK as they had someone they loved their.
These scams arent quick and done, it took place over a number of years. It is heart breaking being so gullible to think that someone would ever love them for them, and not for citizenship, but this is the reality of the world we live in.

It's been going on for years in Indonesia, Eastern Europe and any other country that sees the West as a favourable destination. Online mail-order brides is the most recent incarnation, though the "send me money because you love me" thing has been going on for decades (most notably from Ghana, I believe).

I receive a couple of mails like this every month, but my inbox filters them to spam. Even if a mail accidentally escapes the filters, its wording sounds so fishy that any savvy person can easily recognize it's a scam.
If there really are people in this world who place their trust candidly in such BS, only God can save them!

The best way to make money online fast is through writing articles for other people. There are places like this forum or a site called Iwriter where you can offer your writing services. Fiverr's not a bad place as well but it's hit or miss if someone will order from you. Best of luck.

Great. Can you tell in short how inbound marketing can be used to make a quick buck or two? Looks that it requires some capital beforehand, but if there are people ready to invest, you may be able to make some commission as a middleman. What's required is hitting up the right people at the right time.
Well if it's a marketplace like we have here where sellers get instantly paid, that is really handy to make some fast money. But sites like iWriter take more than a week to release your earnings. When you desperately need money, it's hard to wait for a week. Again, competition on Fiverr is so fierce that as you say, it's all a hit-and-miss thing. Not kicking about it though.

Anyway, thanks for your suggestions neest321 and sweetfranky.:)

It is not only you, but there are many people who have faced same situation in life somewhere (Needed money desperately and urgently, but for some reasons could not acquire it from any source) anyways

Here are some of my suggestion through which you can earn money on the internet.
    • Do surveys and opinion polls online. You can get paid cash or prizes for your help.
    • Start an online business where you sell arts and crafts. Sites like Etsy let you make money online by selling crafts that you make at home.
    • If you have little bit fair to writing, start an online business for freelance writing or web design. There are plenty of people out there who need content for their sites, or need a great site to start.
    • Finally, start an online business where you ‘sell’ information. The best way to do this is start a website or blog and monetize it with Google Adsense.

There are people who made big money online but it didn't happen overnight.

When I need money urgently I will increase my workload on PostLoops - a site where you are paid for writing forum posts and blog comments - they pay out within hours of me requesting payment, as long as it isn't at the weekend.

Thanks for your helpful comments @janinaherz.:)
I have tried most of what you suggested except for selling arts and crafts. I am into freelance writing but it's not a big business. So far, so good. Yes, there are plenty of people who need content for their websites but the problem is most buyers in freelance market are not ready to pay what's really required to produce good-quality content. Selling third-party information through your blog/website and then monetizing it with affiliate or PPC programs is a nice idea. I tried it before starting as a freelance writer but was not really successful. Maybe I will give it another shot and see how things kick off this time. I was largely scammed by online survey and poll sites in the past. So this is something I distance myself from. Either there are no trustworthy sites or I have never come across a good one.

I know this quite well. I have specifically mentioned in the OP -

Thanks @Dean_Saliba.:) I checked out the support page at Postloop.com. The limit to withdraw your funds is just $5 and they say payments are sent directly to your Paypal in 24 hours after you make a request. There's an application process, however, and they do not accept new ones all the time. But I guess they open up now and again, so that will not really be a concern.

PostLoop is a very innovative service, since can help new websites starting up. Anyway, I hope the comments are well written and important for the discussions, so to create valuable content. Or it's just useless and self-defeating

This is so true. It's very hard for newbie to sell with no rep.
I not particular interested in online survey.

What do you think of selling on fiverr?

I tried submitting an application last week but it's not getting accepted. I tried another 2-3 times but the sign-up window refreshes every time I submit details. Not sure if something's wrong at my end but I guess I'll have to try from some other place.

I didn't say Postloop open-up was a concern ever. Seems you didn't get what I said.
By this I mean that sometimes their positions are full and they need some time to process existing applications. Before the processing is finished, they don't open up for accepting new applications. My point here is that even if they are closed some times, they will start accepting new applications pretty soon. So, their closure is not a (real) concern for me.
Check this bit on their FAQ page (http://www.postloop.com/pages/frequently_asked_questions) -
I hope this makes clear what I wanted to say.
