Over 100 killed in fierce Kiev onslaught

Kiev is turning into a military dictatorship regime.

More than 100 pro-independence militia and civilians died in Ukraine’s troubled east in a day of ferocious fighting as government forces mounted their biggest yet assault on the rebels.

A fierce battle for control of Ukraine’s second largest airport in Donetsk broke out on Monday, hours after chocolate tycoon Petro Poroshenko claimed victory in a Ukrainian Presidential election and called for putting down the revolt in the Russian-speaking east “within hours.”

It was for the first time that Ukrainian military unleashed full lethal force on the rebels. Fighter jets and helicopter gunships strafed and fired rockets at rebel positions in the airport before 500 paratroopers moved in to retake control of the major transport hub.

They are not civilians(they shot down 3 helicopters already, civilians? yeah, right), most of them are not even local, there are chechens, ossetians and cossacks flooding from Russia(and obviously supported by Russia). Kiev is fighting with SOME local separatists and the MOST - with russian citizens, to secure Ukraine's borders.

You seem to have info like you have been there on the ground.
How about Obama not stirring another civilian war?
He made two already. Libya and Syria.... Why should US stick NATO bases all around Russia?
Can't we have good lives without all those NATO bases and civilian wars?

    Yes we can.

Can you provide some proof for what you claim? USA and CNN claimed similar BS many times and every time they had to back off because it was proven that they lied.

It's cool that Ukrainians have finally dared to kick the Russians out. Bombs and bullets -- this is the only language Putin understands.

    Since when hatred is "cool"?

Sorry, you morals bar is not high enough. Don't follow Obama, he is not a saint.
If your ego loves blood, eventually that negativity will come on you. Karma law. No one can escape from it.

1)Igor Strelkov - the commander of separatists in town Slovyansk is a russian officer that was fighting in Chechnya, Bosnia, Moldova and now Ukraine. Moscow born.
    2) type chechens in Donetsk in youtube - there it is for you. Full Track of them and it is legit, Im from caucasus and I can verify that those are chechens.
    3) ossetians:
    4) kuban cossacks, nickname Babai(Бабай) - bearded man showing his russian passport:

    5) in a recent Donetsk fight for the airport(last 2 days) was killed russian FSB instructor - Sergei Zhdanovich, he came from Russia, too. Also, they burned full track of chechens, I wont post photos here as they are disturbing, bodies just like not humans are stuck in a local morgue. Apparently, some of them are already sent to Chechnya.

Currently, many trucks flooding from russian border, ukrainians cannot stop them on the border, its just not equipped to stop like 300 armed man coming through:

LOL. A Russian special force who is on a secret mission in Ukraine that his government denies, not only takes his passport with him (obviously he will need that to check in at the airport and hotel:rolleyes: ) but also gives an interview with journalist and make sure that they can film his passport so they can prove that Russia in involved. I am just surprised that he didn´t have the word SPY (of course in Russian) tattooed on his forehead and picture of Putin on his hat and uniform.;)

NFS, get some history education on Russia and Ukraine so you can find answers to many of your questions.
Otherwise your opinion will be way off balance and out of touch.

Is he working for Russian government or not? If he is working for Russian government then why is he so incompetent and gives ammunition to people who want to blame his government? If he is not working for the Russian government and he is there as a private citizen to fight neo-nazi groups then what is your problem?
The people going to different countries to fight the Nazi ideology is not a new thing. Have you heard about International Brigades who went to Spain to fight Franco before WWII. Many believe that if they got help that time, it would have stopped the rise of Hitler and maybe WWII.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Brigades

This part about what happened to this volunteers is quite interesting:

    United Kingdom
On disbandment, 305 British volunteers left Spain. They arrived at Victoria Station on 7 December, to be met by a crowd of supporters including Clement Attlee, Stafford Cripps, Willie Gallacher, and Will Lawther.

    United States
    Main article: Abraham Lincoln Brigade
In the United States, the volunteers were labeled as "premature anti-fascists" by the FBI, denied promotion during service in the US military during World War II, and pursued by Congressional committees during the Red Scare.

It is a shame that western countries have not learned from the lessons of WWII and again supporting Nazi groups.

P.S. When do you think Ukranian will tattoo the words SPY and Special Force on the forehead of some people and make movies with them showing their Russian passport and have Putin pictures on their uniform?

My ego loves comfort:) And comfort is when every country remains in it's own borders not going to war to capture neighbors lands. I also believe people have the karmic right and duty to defend their land.

In 1936 when Hitler grabbed a piece of Chechoslovakia just in same way Putin has taken Crimea and tries to take Ukraine's Eastern regions, the West also decided not to interfere thinking that Hitler was gonna be content with his capture. Hitler on his behalf decided it had been a sign of West's weakness. You know what did happen after that. If Ukrainians don't stop Putin's guys, the'll lose their country, and as far as I know their history, they've been under Russia for just enough time to get fed up with it.

Hey, Ukrianian election's results have put the last point with that Nazi story. Looks like it was another Russia's trick to scare Europe:)
Ukrianians have given less votes for nationalist than an average European nation does.

gworld, Russia allows them armed men to bypass its border and at the same time Putin did a new law this year, that a russian citizen fighting abroad can be sentenced up to 10 years in prison, obviously it won't be applicable to these groups but will be applicable to those who visit Syria, hehe. simple enough.

After the elections results with more than 55% population voting for him in the first round, he definitely is.
And looks like Europe has happily recognized that.

I'm sure that if this Porshenko comes out bad President, Ukrainians will kick his butt like they've kicked yanukovich
