I am wondering about Email advertising. I understand that you can make alot of money by selling advertisments within your emails to people who subscribe to your newsletter. I'm wondering if selling ads within emails is a thing of the past? Is there a better way to sell advertising through and email list or phone number list?
I've ever added ads to my emails, but I have run solo ads. If you can build a decent size list of buyers with a good click thru rate, you can easily get $50-$100 a day from solos. Just be careful you don't overmail them and get too many unsubscribes. But then again, there is a churn and burn strategy that some emailers use where they constantly bombard their list. I was never a fan of that.
Maybe if the Emails sent are interesting the audience and keep track of Open-Rate and Reading % of the audience.
Why don't you focus on adding so much value in your newsletters that they are ready to leap to buy your own products? If you are cultivating a good mail list, you would be much better off promoting a great opportunity or a self-created product to your list that provides high value, rather than selling ad space. Sign-up for Ben Settle's mail list and learn how a master does it...I'm just a lowly apprentice compared to Ben, but dang it...I'm startin' to get it right.
I agree, email marketing is far better by adding value and selling products your list want to buy. Why sell advertisements within your email when you can make more money by giving your email list what they want.
Email marketing is really important, but you must use it wisely. You can ruin anything just sending emails and putting ads inside. You must write good articles, having a nice audience of subscribers (with double opt-in), and you can explain why you would buy a specific product. It's a review, but must be something you love. A software you use, a product you are absolutely sure of its value, and so on. This way you will be successful.
Hi sent free high quality information or items that your list can use in their business, sent once a day at the same time. At the same time means your list will get into the habit of looking for your emails.
It will never be a thing of the past, at least not so soon. We all check out emails daily, and mostly more than twice a day. Building a list (email marketing) is equivalent to building an asset. If you were to send paid traffic to your site without capturing their emails, you will lose the chance to do a follow up. I'd think that people prefer receiving information as opposed to searching for it...
I think it depends if you have a great product or opportunity to sell. What is you have a big email list and you have a audience that wants to hear good content. If its a specific niche you could have advertisers willing to pay good money if there arent to many avenues other than you to reach out to that specific market.
I like your idea to sign up to ben settle email list and to learn what he does. I love learning from people, especially people who have been down that road already. Thanks for the tip, i'll have to do that
Hey thanks for the idea, I haven't looked into solo ads to much, but I like learning the differnt opportunities out there. There are so many ways to make money these days that I didn't know about and many people haven't. Thanks for the idea. I'll look into that.
If you don't have a product you want to sell, but have a large target audience, selling ads could be quite profitable if there are't many avenue for companies to advertise through besides yourself.
That makes sense, to have a specific product but something that you love. I think by doing a review on something you love yourself builds trust with your subscribers and yes produces success
Yea I was wondering it is becoming a thing of the past. Im wondering are there new ways that are more efficient than sending emails? I do agree and that yes most of us do check our emails often and does seem to be a good way to advertise through
This newsletter pretty much explains how to monetize a list and make money.http://warriorforum.us8.list-manage1.com/subscribe?u=a081c720352327c94b94462f6&id=3a64e42d05
I agree that promoting your own products can be a strong route to go, but don't discount advertising right out of the gate. I have an associate who sends a daily email list to 100,000 people. The email list highlights most of her content, but she also sells advertising to six to eight advertisers at $800 to $1,000 per advertiser! That's $4,800 to $8,000 a day!!! Good luck getting this type of return with your own product on a consistent basis. Now, with that said, this friend is in a very niche industry that doesn't have a lot of places for advertisers to go to. Also, open rate and click thru rates are quite high. I ran an ad in her newsletter and made $1,400 off of a $800 placement. So, it was a decent return for me and you better believe I advertised with her again.
Solo ads is a huge business and if you have an email list that have already bought from you, you can ask $0.40 to $0.50 per click (email opened). You can stipulate that the email the buyer wants to send does not take your list direct to an affiliate offer but has to opt in to their list first and generally vet their offer before agreeing to send. Thus you will ensure that you will retain your own integrity to your list
Email advertising is good as soon as you don't spam your readers, the offer s higlly related to them and your real email are not overwhelmed... Try using CPA if you have a good list... send them offer that matter to them and they will convert more as is that would be send by another (you have authority) But again, don't sell your soul because emails you send is like a message to a friend.... they trust you...
